Anna Segal
Anna Segal (born 15 August 1986) is an Australian Olympic Freestyle skiing, freestyle slopestyle, slopestyle skier and two-time world champion. Segal won the gold medal for the inaugural Women's Ski Slopestyle at Winter X Games 13 at Buttermilk Mountain on 24 January 2009 in Aspen, Colorado. She also won the FIS Freestyle World Ski Championships 2011 – Women's slopestyle, gold medal in slopestyle at the FIS Freestyle World Ski Championships 2011, 2011 FIS Freestyle World Ski Championships. She won the gold medal as well in the Slopestyle at the 2012 AFP World Championships in Whistler, Canada. Early life Segal was born in Melbourne, Australia. Her parents are Susan Davis and Alan Segal. She was educated at St Catherine's School, Toorak, matriculating in 2004. She has a degree in Arts & Commerce from Monash University (2015). ACL Reconstruction
Anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ACL reconstruction) is a surgical tissue graft replacement of the anterior cruciate ligament, located in the knee, to restore its function after an injury. The torn ligament can either be removed from the knee (most common), or preserved (where the graft is passed inside the preserved ruptured native ligament) before reconstruction through an arthroscopic procedure. ACL repair is also a surgical option. This involves repairing the ACL by re-attaching it, instead of performing a reconstruction. Kim Lamarre
Kim Lamarre (born 20 May 1988) is a Canadian freestyle skier. She won Canada's first ever bronze medal in the women's slopestyle skiing event at the 2014 Winter Olympics. Lamarre said of her surprise bronze that "This is surreal. I have no words to describe this feeling. I am so happy. I knew it was possible but I didn't put it as my main goal. I just wanted to make the finals and then land my run and see what happened." The medal came after compatriot and gold medal favourite Kaya Turski failed to qualify for the finals. Copper Mountain is a mountain and ski resort located in Summit County, Colorado, about west of Denver on Interstate 70. The resort has of in-bounds terrain under lease from the U.S. Forest Service, White River National Forest, Dillon Ranger District. It is operated by POWDR. History The resort opened in November 1972. The mountain has been operated by several owners. In 1980, it was acquired by Apex Oil Company, who operated the area until 1988, when it was acquired by the Toronto-based Horsham Corporation. Whistler Blackcomb is a ski resort located in Whistler, British Columbia, Canada. By many measures it is the largest ski resort in North America and has the greatest uphill lift capacity. It features the Peak 2 Peak Gondola for moving between Whistler and Blackcomb mountains at the top. With all of this capacity, Whistler Blackcomb is also often the busiest ski resort, often surpassing 2 million visitors a year.
