Anna Botova (born March 25, 1987) is a Russian model, singer who was crowned as the 1st runner-up at Miss Globe International 2010 and Miss Asia Pacific World 2011. Early life and education Born in Astrakhan, Russia, Botova grew up under the tutelage of her grandmother who enrolled her in a music school. She graduated from the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia with a degree in law. Career Botova began a career in music in her early childhood. She became a soloist for a music group known as "Genuch DI7". Botova started touring across Russia performing as a model and singer at various occasions. She obtained a modeling contract in Paris and eventually became the face of a Parisian boutique. She later returned to Russia and worked for the biggest Russian modeling agency. She participated and won prizes in various beauty pageant contests held across Russia. Astrakhan ( rus, Астрахань, p=ˈastrəxənʲ) is the largest city and administrative centre of Astrakhan Oblast in Southern Russia. Miss Globe is a global beauty pageant group that holds annual events. Currently, Miss Globe is produced simultaneously by three various organizations claiming to be the ''official'' organizers. The Miss Globe was first known to public in 1925. In 2010, the pageant was split into three organizations. Miss Globe International, based in Turkey, is produced annually (currently inactive event) by RCA Global Entertainment Co. and organized by Rasim Aydın. Miss Globe based in Albania is yearly produced by another organization, Deliart Association and produced by Petri Bozo. Miss Asia Pacific World is an annual beauty pageant held in South Korea. It has been subject to a number of controversies over rankings, bribes, and breast augmentation surgeries. In the 2014 Miss Asia Pacific World competition, May Myat Noe of Burma was crowned on 31 May 2014, but dethroned three months later. This prompted the organization to conduct a new pageant in the following months. The title was won by Swetha Raj from India.
