Angeli Tabaquero
Maria Angeli Tabaquero is a Filipino volleyball athlete. She was a member of the UAAP champion teams of the UST Golden Tigresses (2008-2010). Career Tabaquero was named team captain for the Philippine national team in 2013 in the Asian Championship. She was the captain of the Cagayan Valley Lady Rising Suns club that won the 2013 Shakey's V-League Open Conference over Smart-Maynilad Net Spikers in the finals. She played the 2014 Asian Club Championship with PLDT HOME TVolution in March As team captain, Tabaquero played for Kia Forte in the 2015 Shakey's V-League 12th Season Reinforced Open Conference. Tabaquero participated in the 2016 PSL Invitational Cup with Foton Toplanders as team's Libero. Even when she thought it would be a temporary role, she played this position until the last match, when she suffered an injury, and her team could not reach the playoffs. 2016 PSL Invitational Cup
The 2016 PLDT Home Ultera PSL Invitational Cup was the first indoor volleyball tournament for the Philippine Super Liga's fourth season. It ran from February 18 to April 9, 2016, coinciding with the UAAP Season 78 volleyball tournaments. A guest team from Thailand, playing under the name Est Cola, joined the final round, clashing against top three teams of the preliminary round for the championship. LVPI Director Jeff Tamayo was the guest speaker of the opening ceremonies, while LVPI President Joey Romasanta and Sports5 head Patricia Bermudez-Hizon attended the awarding ceremonies. The Chery Tiggo Crossovers is a professional women's volleyball team in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL). The team is owned by United Asia Automotive Group, Inc. (UAAGI). History The team debuted in the Philippine Superliga (PSL) during the 2014 Grand Prix as the original Foton Tornadoes. Heading to the 2020 season, the team was renamed to Chery Tiggo Crossovers. On March 10, 2021, the team announced it has joined the professional PVL. They became the first-ever volleyball champions in a fully-professional league when they won the 2021 PVL Open Conference title.
