Angela Kerek (born 25 January 1972) is a former professional tennis player from Germany. A lawyer by profession, she is now a partner with Morrison & Foerster in Berlin. Kerek, who emigrated to Germany from Romania, played professional tennis with the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) for 8 years and German Bundesliga for 11 years. She achieved a career high singles ranking of 149 in the world and was featured in the qualifying draws of all four grand slam tournaments. Tennis is a racket sport that is played either individually against a single opponent ( singles) or between two teams of two players each ( doubles). Each player uses a tennis racket that is strung with cord to strike a hollow rubber ball covered with felt over or around a net and into the opponent's court.
