André Geraldes
André Geraldes de Barros (born 2 May 1991) is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays as a right back for Israeli club Maccabi Tel Aviv. Club career Born in Maia, Porto District, Geraldes spent most of his youth career with hometown club F.C. Maia, apart from one year with FC Porto in his early teenage years. He made his senior debut with the former in the fourth division in 2009. A year later, Geraldes signed for Rio Ave F.C. but never played in their first team, instead being loaned out to G.D. Chaves ( third tier) and C.D. Aves (second). In 2012, he joined İstanbul Başakşehir F.K. of the Turkish Süper Lig under compatriot Carlos Carvalhal. After a loan to C.F. Maia () is a municipality in the Porto Metropolitan Area, ''Grande Porto'' subregion, in Norte Region, Portugal. It is located 11 km north of central Porto. Carlos Augusto Soares da Costa Faria Carvalhal (; born 4 December 1965) is a Portuguese former footballer who played as a centre-back, currently manager of La Liga club RC Celta de Vigo. As a player, he totalled 197 Primeira Liga appearances in service of six clubs, including two spells each at Braga and Chaves, as well as a single game for Porto. In a managerial career of over two decades, Carvalhal led eight teams in Portugal's top flight, including Braga twice, winning the Taça de Portugal in 2021. The Cypriot First Division ( el, Πρωτάθλημα Α΄ Κατηγορίας) is the top tier football league competition in Cyprus, run by the Cyprus Football Association. Since February 2016, it is sponsored by Cyta and is thus officially known as the Cyta Championship. The league is contested by 14 teams and runs from August to May, with the three lowest-placed teams being relegated to the Cypriot Second Division, and replaced by the top three teams in that division. The 2019–20 Israeli Premier League, also known as Ligat Tel Aviv Stock Exchange for sponsorship reasons, was the 21st season since its introduction in 1999 and the 78th season of top-tier football in Israel. ''The Courier'' (known as ''The Courier & Advertiser'' between 1926 and 2012) is a newspaper published by DC Thomson in Dundee, Scotland. As of 2013, it is printed in six regional editions: Dundee, Angus & The Mearns, Fife, West Fife, Perthshire, and Stirlingshire.
