Andrew Penner (musician)
Andrew Penner is a Canadian multi-instrumentalist, performer, composer, actor, sound designer, and producer currently residing in Toronto, Ontario. He is a member of Americana duo Harrow Fair, and folk rock and roll band Sunparlour Players. Penner is also an actor and has appeared in Soulpepper Theatre’s ''Spoon River'' and ''As You Like It'', Ghost Quartet (Crows Theatre). He has composed music for Soulpepper Theatre’s ''Blood Wedding'', Stratford Festival’s ''Grapes of Wrath'' as well as films Eadweard (film) and Small Town Murder Songs, FX show "Lost Girl" and many others. Early life Penner grew up in a Mennonite family on a farm in southern Ontario. Career In 2005 Penner formed the band, Sunparlour Players, and in 2007 released their debut album, "Hymns For The Happy". In 2009 they released, ''Wave North''. Leamington ( ) is a municipality in Essex County, Ontario, Canada. With a population of 27,595 in the Canada 2016 Census, it forms the second largest urban centre in Windsor-Essex County after Windsor, Ontario. Sunparlour Players
Sunparlour Players are a Canadian alternative country band. Based in Toronto, Ontario, the band consists of songwriter Andrew Penner on lead vocals, guitar, bass, banjo, bass organ pedals, percussion, and kick drum and Michael "Rosie" Rosenthal on drums, glockenspiel, banjo, backing vocals, keyboards and bass. They come from Ontario. Andrew Penner grew up on a farm near Leamington, in the region nicknamed Canada's "Sun Parlour". The band independently released its debut album ''Hymns for the Happy'' in 2006, and rereleased it in 2007 after signing to The Baudelaire Label. Soulpepper Theatre
Soulpepper is a theater company based in Toronto, Ontario. It is the largest non-profit theater in the city. History Soulpepper was founded in 1998 by twelve Toronto artists aiming to produce lesser-known theatrical classics. Soulpepper has since become an important part of Toronto's theater scene.
