Andrej Málek

	Andrej Málek Andrej Málek (born 4 February 1995) is a retired Slovak slalom canoeist who competed at the international level from 2010 to 2019. He retired from the sport in 2020. He won a silver medal in the K1 team event at the 2015 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships in London. He also won a bronze medal in the K1 event at the 2015 European Canoe Slalom Championships in Markkleeberg. 	2016 European Canoe Slalom Championships The 2016 European Canoe Slalom Championships took place in Liptovský Mikuláš, Slovakia under the auspices of the European Canoe Association (ECA). It was the 17th edition of the competition and Liptovský Mikuláš hosted the event for the second time after previously hosting it in 2007. 	2019 Canoe Slalom World Cup The 2019 Canoe Slalom World Cup was a series of five races in several canoeing and kayaking categories organized by the International Canoe Federation (ICF). It was the 32nd edition. Calendar The series opened with World Cup Race 1 in Lee Valley, England (13–16 June) and ended with the World Cup Final in Prague, Czech Republic (6–8 September). Standings The winner of each race was awarded 60 points (double points were awarded for the World Cup Final). Points for lower places differed from one category to another. 	2019 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships The 2019 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships were the 40th edition of the ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships. The event took place from 24 to 29 September 2019 in La Seu d'Urgell, Spain under the auspices of International Canoe Federation (ICF). The events took place at the Segre Olympic Park which also hosted the canoe slalom events at the 1992 Summer Olympics. 	2017 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships The 2017 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships was the 38th edition of the ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships. The event took place from 22 September to 1 October 2017 in Pau, France under the auspices of International Canoe Federation (ICF) at the Pau-Pyrénées Whitewater Stadium. Pau was also hosting the Wildwater Canoeing World Championships as part of the same event. The Mixed C2 event returned to the world's program for the first time since 1981. The men's C2 team event was not a world championship event due to only 4 countries participating. It has been held since 1988 in four canoe and kayak disciplines for men and women. 	Markkleeberg Markkleeberg is an affluent suburb of Leipzig, located in the Leipzig district of the Free State of Saxony, Germany. The river Pleiße runs through the city, which borders Leipzig to the north and to the west. Markkleeberg is known to be the entry point to a region of recultivated open-cast mining lakes south of Leipzig dubbed the ''Leipziger Neuseenland''.
