Andranikological Review
The '' Andranikological Review'' (Review on Andranik Studies, hy, Անդրանիկագիտական Հանդես) was an Armenian youth historical half-yearly periodical published in Yerevan, in 2002–2004. The main purpose of ''Andranikological Review'' was the historical studies of the biography, ideological and military activities of General Andranik Ozanian, national hero of Armenia, also the collection and preservation of historical documents and artifacts, related to the period of Andranik's activities. ''Andranikological Review'' was a book-like historical publication with research papers and book reviews (each issue typically runs to about 50 pages). Armenian History
The history of Armenia covers the topics related to the history of the Republic of Armenia, as well as the Armenian people, the Armenian language, and the regions historically and geographically considered ''Armenian''. Armenia is located in the highlands surrounding the Biblical mountains of Ararat. Armenian Language
Armenian ( classical: , reformed: , , ) is an Indo-European language and an independent branch of that family of languages. It is the official language of Armenia. Andranik Ozanian
Andranik Ozanian, commonly known as General Andranik or simply Andranik;. Also spelled Antranik or Antranig 25 February 186531 August 1927), was an Armenians, Armenian military commander and statesman, the best known ''Armenian fedayi, fedayi'' and a key figure of the Armenian national movement, Armenian national liberation movement. From the late 19th century to the early 20th century, he was one of the main Armenian leaders of military efforts for the independence of Armenia. He became active in an armed struggle against the Ottoman Empire, Ottoman government and Kurdish irregulars in the late 1880s. Norayr Musheghian
Norayr Musheghian ( hy, Նորայր Մուշեղյան; 2 November 1935 – 23 December 2011) was an Armenian wrestler, coach and public activist. Biography Norayr Musheghian was born on 2 November 1935 in Yerevan to Armenian parents, survivors of Armenian genocide from Mush and Sebastia who arrived in Yerevan as orphan children. The first sport Musheghian took up was gymnastics, but due to injury he was forced to abandon it. He began wrestling in 1952 under the coaching of Artashes Nazaryan. Initially, he could not choose between freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling, but ultimately chose to specialize in freestyle wrestling. He graduated from the Armenian State Institute of Physical Culture in 1957. By the end of the 1950s, Musheghian was one of the top featherweight wrestlers not only in the Soviet Union, but also in the world. Antranig Chalabian
Antranig Chalabian (March 11, 1922, Kessab, Syria – April 12, 2011, Southfield, Michigan) was a medical illustrator, cartographer and historian, an author of several volumes on Armenian history. He is best known for his biography of General Andranik Ozanyan. Biography He was born in 1922 in Kessab. After graduating from the Armenian Evangelical School, he studied at Aleppo College. Then, in the summer of 1949, Chalabian moved to Beirut and took a position in the physiology department of the American University of Beirut (AUB). In 1977, Chalabian and his family immigrated to the Detroit, USA, where Chalabian worked as public relations director at the AGBU Alex Manoogian School. In 1984 he published his first historical book ''General Andranik and the Armenian Revolutionary Movement''. Artsvi Bakhchinyan ( hy, Արծվի Բախչինյան, born 1971 in Yerevan) is an Armenian philologist, film researcher, writer, Armenologist, and Doctor of philology. Biography Artsvi Bakhchinyan received his Diploma in Armenian Language and Literature from the Yerevan State University in 1993. He has been engaged in research on famous Armenians, Armenian art and culture for many years. Bakhchinyan published his first book, ''They are Armenian by origin'', in 1993. The book contained concise biographies of famous Armenians who had lived and worked in foreign countries. The second, revised and completed edition of the book was published in 2002. Since 2001 Bakhchinyan is the Vice-President of FIPRESCI's Armenian branch, a member of jury of international film festivals.
