Anannya Top Ten Awards ( bn, অনন্যা শীর্ষ দশ পুরস্কার) is the prize for women in Bangladesh recognition of contribution to the fields of agriculture, industrial, trade, economics, acting, music, sports, education, liberation war, social welfare and development-work-law, human rights, entrepreneur, politics and journalism. Razia Khan Amin
Razia Khan Amin (1936 – 28 December 2011) was a Bangladeshi writer, poet and educationist. She was also a journalist, theatre actor and columnist for newspapers. She was awarded Ekushey Padak in 1997 for her contribution to education by the Government of Bangladesh. Education and career Khan's father Maulvi Tamizuddin Khan was a politician and a social activist. Khan completed her bachelor's degree and masters in English from the University of Dhaka. She went to University of Birmingham on a scholarship from the British Council for higher studies. Khan joined the editorial board of the then Pakistan Observer (later renamed The Bangladesh Observer). She then joined as a faculty member of the Department of English of the University of Dhaka. Nishat Majumdar
Nishat Mazumdar ( bn, নিশাত মজুমদার) became the first Bangladeshi woman to scale Mount Everest, with the help of three Sherpas - Lakpa Sherpa, Pemba Dorje Sherpa, Mingma Sherpa and a bigger team led by another Bangladeshi mountaineer M. A. Muhit. She reached the northern side of the mountain with the team on 19 May 2012, six days after which internationally acclaimed Bangladeshi mountaineer Wasfia Nazreen reached the summit from Nepal side independently. Samia Zaman is a Bangladeshi media personality, filmmaker. She was a television news presenter, reporter and talk show host. In 2006, she emerged as a film director. Farida Parveen
Farida Parveen (born 31 December 1954) is a Bangladeshi folk singer. Referred to as "the Queen of Lalon song," she received Ekushey Padak in 1987 and Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Female Playback Singer for the film ''Andho Prem'' (1993) in 1993. Early life Parveen was born in Natore and was brought up in Kushtia. Her father worked in the health service. As a child she used to play a harmonium. In 1968, she was enlisted with Rajshahi Betar as a Nazrul singer. She graduated from Kushtia Government College under Rajshahi University. Parveen first took lesson from Komal Chakrabarti. Later on, she received lessons in classical music from Ustaad Ibrahim Khan, Ustad Rabindranath Ray, Ustad Osman Goni and Ustad Motaleb Biswas. Noorjahan Bose
Noorjahan Bose (born 14 March 1938) is a Bangladeshi writer and women's rights activist. She won Bangla Academy Literary Award in the autobiography category in 2016. She founded ''Asha'' and ''Samhati'' – nonprofit organizations focusing on women empowerment. Background and family Bose was born in Katakhali village at Boro Baishdia, an island in the Bay of Bengal, 14 March 1938. She went to Barisal to finish her matriculation exam. At 17, she married Emadullah, the general secretary of East Pakistan Jubo League. Emadullah died from smallpox in a year while she was pregnant. After the birth of her first child, Jaseem, she took a job as a dorm warden at Shadar Girls School, from where she had graduated. In 1963, she married her late husband's closest friend, Swadesh Bose. Halima Khatun
Halima Khatun (25 August 1933 – 3 July 2018) was a Bangladeshi activist, writer and academic. She took part in Bengali Language Movement in 1952 along with other activists including Rawshan Ara Bachchu. She was the recipient of Bangla Academy Literary Award in 1981 and Ekushey Padak posthumously in 2019. Early life and education Khatun was born in Bagerhat in the then British India to Maulovi Abdur Rahman and Doulatunnesa. Monjulika Chakma (born 26 October 1944) is a Bangladeshi crafts and weaving entrepreneur. She was awarded Begum Rokeya Padak in 2020 for her contribution to the socio-economic development. Marina Tabassum (born ) is a Bangladeshi architect. She is the principal architect of Marina Tabassum Architects. Hasna Jasimuddin Moudud
Hasna Jasimuddin Moudud (born 1946) is a Bangladeshi writer, environmentalist and a retired politician who served as a Jatiya Sangsad member representing the Noakhali-5 constituency in the 3rd and 4th parliament during 1986–1990. Family Hasna was born to poet Jasimuddin (1903–1976) and Begum Mamtaz Jasimuddin (d. 2006). Her siblings include Jamal Anwar, Firoz Anwar, Khurshid Anwar and Asma Elahi. Siddiqua Kabir (May 7, 1931 – January 31, 2012) was a Bangladeshi nutritionist, academic, cookbook author, and cooking show television host. Adity Mohsin is a Bangladeshi Rabindra Sangeet singer. Early life Mohsin joined Bulbul Academy of Fine Arts (BAFA). She met music composers Abdul Ahad and Fazle Nizami and completed her diploma in Rabindra Sangeet in 1988. She completed her IA from Holy Cross College, Dhaka.
