Halima Khatun
Halima Khatun (25 August 1933 – 3 July 2018) was a Bangladeshi activist, writer and academic. She took part in Bengali Language Movement in 1952 along with other activists including Rawshan Ara Bachchu. She was the recipient of Bangla Academy Literary Award in 1981 and Ekushey Padak posthumously in 2019. Early life and education Khatun was born in Bagerhat in the then British India to Maulovi Abdur Rahman and Doulatunnesa. She completed her master's in English literature from the University of Dhaka and later in Bengali from Rajshahi University. She earned her PhD in education from the University of Northern Colorado in 1968. Career Khatun began her teaching career at Khulna Coronation School and RK Girls College. She later joined the Education Research Institute of the University of Dhaka until her retirement in 1997. Bagerhat
Bagerhat Sadar ( bn, বাগেরহাট সদর) is an upazila of Bagerhat District in the Division of Khulna, Bangladesh. The municipality was established in 1958. It consists of 9 wards and 31 mahallas. History Khan Jahan Ali established a pargana named Khalifatabad here in 1429 AD, which covered Bagerhat, Khulna, Jessore, Satkhira and Barisal. The Sixty Dome Mosque was the central administrative place of the kingdom. He built a mint, several mosques, and excavated several lakes. During the Bangladesh Liberation War, Razakar Seraj Master killed 18 members of a family in the area. Battles between the Pakistan army and the Bangladeshi Freedom Fighters, the Mukti Bahini, were held at Panighat, Devir Bazar and Madhav Kathi. Suborna Mustafa (born 2 December 1960) is a Bangladeshi television, film and stage actress. She is the current Jatiya Sangsad member representing the Reserved Women's Seat-4 since February 2019. She is a member of Bangladesh Awami League party. Mustafa is notable for her roles in television drama serials including ''Kothao Keu Nei'' (1990), ''Aaj Robibar'' (1999) and ''Ayomoy'' (1991).
