Amphoe Mueang Chachoengsao
Mueang Chachoengsao ( th, เมืองฉะเชิงเทรา, ), formerly named the Mueang Paet Rio District (Thai: เมืองแปดริ้ว), is the capital district ('' amphoe mueang'') of Chachoengsao province, Eastern Thailand. History Mueang Chachoengsao district was established in 1896. The present district office is close to the bank of the Bang Pakong River in Na Mueang subdistrict. Geography Neighboring districts are (from the north clockwise): Bang Nam Priao, Khlong Khuean, Bang Khla, Ban Pho of Chachoengsao Province; Bang Bo of Samut Prakan province; Lat Krabang and Nong Chok of Bangkok. The important water resource are the Bang Pakong River and Khlong Nakhon Nueang Khet. Thesaban ( th, เทศบาล, , ) are the municipalities of Thailand. There are three levels of municipalities: city, town, and sub-district. Bangkok and Pattaya are special municipal entities not included in the ''thesaban'' system. Muban ( th, หมู่บ้าน; , ) is the lowest administrative sub-division of Thailand. ''Tambon'' ( th, ตำบล, ) is a local governmental unit in Thailand. Khlong Nakhon Nueang Khet
A ''khlong'' ( th, คลอง, ), alternatively spelt as ''klong'' () commonly refers to a canal in Thailand. These canals are spawned by the rivers Chao Phraya, Tha Chin, and Mae Klong, along with their tributaries particularly in the low-lying areas of central Thailand. The Thai word ''khlong'' is not limited to artificial canals. Many smaller rivers are referred to as "''khlong''" followed by the name of the stream. Khlongs in Bangkok there are 1,682 canals in Bangkok, totalling 2,604 kilometres in length. Nine canals are primary flood drainage conduits. Lat Krabang ( th, ลาดกระบัง, ) is one of the eastern districts of Bangkok. Geography & history Lat Krabang (literally translating to "slope of shield") is a second largest district of Bangkok (the first one is neighbouring district Nong Chok). Neighbouring districts are (from the south clockwise): Bang Bo, Bang Sao Thong and Bang Phli ( Samut Prakan province); Prawet, Saphan Sung, Min Buri and Nong Chok (Bangkok) and Mueang Chachoengsao (Chachoengsao province). Bang Bo ( th, บางบ่อ, ) is a district (''amphoe'') of Samut Prakan province in Thailand. Geography Neighboring districts are Mueang Samut Prakan, Bang Phli, and Bang Sao Thong to the west, Lat Krabang (Bangkok and Mueang Chachoengsao to the north, and Ban Pho and Bang Pakong (both in Chachoengsao province) to the east.
