Portugal entered the Eurovision Song Contest 1992, held in Malmö, Sweden, with Dina with the song "Amor d'água fresca" after she won the Portuguese national final, Festival da Canção 1992. At Eurovision, she received 26 points, placing 17th in a field of 23 competing countries. Before Eurovision Festival da Canção 1992 The Portuguese broadcaster, Rádio e Televisão de Portugal (RTP), used the popular Festival da Canção to select their entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 1992. Dina (singer)
Dina (born Ondina Maria Farias Veloso; 18 June 1956 – 11 April 2019) was a Portuguese singer who was best known for her participation in the Eurovision Song Contest 1992 in Malmö. Biography Dina first entered the Portuguese Eurovision selection, ''Festival da Canção'', in 1980, finishing eighth with "Guardando em mim". She participated again in 1982 with two songs, but could only manage sixth and eighth. Dina finally got her chance in 1992, when her song " Amor d'água fresca" ("Fresh Water Love") won the competition and went forward as the Portuguese representative in the 37th Eurovision Song Contest. The contest took place on 9 May in Malmö, Sweden, where "Amor d'água fresca" finished in 17th place of the 23 entries. António Manuel Mateus Antunes (born 30 December, 1963), known professionally as Tony Carreira, is a Portuguese singer and musician. Yugoslavia participated for the last time in the Eurovision Song Contest 1992, held in Malmö, Sweden as the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (consisting of Serbia and Montenegro). The last Yugoslav representative was Extra Nena with the song "Ljubim te pesmama". Before Eurovision Jugovizija 1992 The national final was held on 28 March 1992 in the RTV Belgrade Studios in Belgrade. The show was hosted by Dragana Katić and Radoš Bajić. The Yugoslav national broadcaster, JRT, invited all Yugoslav republics to participate in the national final, however, Slovenian and Croatian broadcasters didn't send any entries as their independence had widespread recognition by January 1992. Rita Maria de Azevedo Mafra Guerra, commonly known as Rita Guerra (born 22 October 1967) is a Portuguese singer-songwriter. The Eurovision Song Contest 1985 was the 30th edition of the annual Eurovision Song Contest.
