Amanda Sage
Amanda Sage (born 19 April 1978) is an American painter who has studied and worked in Vienna, Vienna, Austria and Los Angeles, Los Angeles, California. She trained and worked with Ernst Fuchs (artist), Ernst and Michael Fuchs, a classical artist who taught her Mischtechnik. Through Fuchs she came to know other Visionary artists with whom she has worked, exhibited and co-founded the Academy of Visionary Art in Vienna and the Colorado Alliance for Visionary Art. Sage is a lecturer, teacher, and live artist with works in international galleries and museums. Early life Amanda Sage was born on 19 April 1978 in Denver, Colorado. She "did a lot of drawing" as a young girl and developed an interest in art in a home that allowed for experimentation. Vienna School Of Fantastic Realism
The Vienna School of Fantastic Realism (german: Wiener Schule des Phantastischen Realismus) is a group of artists founded in Vienna in 1946. It includes Ernst Fuchs, Maître Leherb (Helmut Leherb), Arik Brauer, Wolfgang Hutter and Anton Lehmden, all students of Professor Albert Paris Gütersloh at the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts where also Zeev Kun studied in Gütersloh's class. It was Gütersloh's emphasis on the techniques of the Old Masters that gave the fantastic realist painters a grounding in realism (expressed with a clarity and detail some have compared to early Flemish painting) combined with religious and esoteric symbolism. Older members of the group were Rudolf Hausner, Kurt Regschek and Fritz Janschka who emigrated to the US in 1949. It is located in the Liguria in Italy, near Ventimiglia (county of Imperia), a few kilometres from the Mediterranean Sea and the French border. Its complex structure is developed on eight levels, with three main buildings separated by two partially covered inner alleys. Built completely in stone over the course of many centuries, the hamlet is composed of 160 rooms with vaulted ceilings (either barrel or cross vaults), linked with each other by an intricate and amazing labyrinth of stairways, terraces and alleys. An ecovillage is a traditional or intentional community with the goal of becoming more socially, culturally, economically, and/or ecologically sustainable. An ecovillage strives to produce the least possible negative impact on the natural environment through intentional physical design and resident behavior choices. Wolfgang Hutter
Wolfgang Hutter (December 13, 1928 – September 26, 2014) was a painter, draughtsman, printmaker and stage designer. Hutter's imagery is characterised by an artificial paradise of gardens and fantastical fairytale-like scenes. His work is said to have been influenced by his psychedelic experiences. Hutter was born in Vienna. With Jewish origins,Steven Beller, ''Vienna and the Jews, 1867–1938: A Cultural History'', Cambridge University Press (1990), p. 29 the son of A. Arik Brauer
Arik Brauer ( he, אריק בראואר; 4 January 1929 – 24 January 2021) was an Austrian painter, printmaker, poet, dancer, singer-songwriter, stage designer, architect, and academic teacher. Brauer, from a family of Jewish emigrants, grew up in Vienna under the Nazi regime. After World War II, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna from age 16, and from 1947 also singing. He travelled extensively, and married in Israel in 1957, settling in Paris where he formed a singing duo with his wife. From 1963, they lived in Ein Hod, Israel, and in Vienna. Brauer was a co-founder of the Vienna School of Fantastic Realism.
