Amado Cortez
Amado Cortez (born Arsenio Ruiz Padilla, December 14, 1927 – March 22, 2003) was a Filipino actor and diplomat. His father was Jose Padilla Sr., a governor in Plaridel, Bulacan and his mother was Maria Clara Ruiz. His brothers were Jose Padilla Jr., Carlos Padilla Sr., Roy Padilla Sr., Roy Padilla and his sisters were Consuelo Padilla-Osorio, Paz Padilla, Pilar Padilla and Cristina Aragon who portrayed Valentina (Darna), Valentina in the very first Darna movie in 1951. His first contract was under LVN Pictures. He made five movies with LVN, namely ''Ang Tapis mo Inday'' with Celia Flor, ''Anak ng Pulubi'' and ''Nasaan ka Giliw'' both with Tessie Quintana, ''Harana sa Karagatan'' with Mila del Sol and ''Tia Loleng'' with Armando Goyena. After two years of making movies with LVN Studios, he signed another contract with the Santiagos and became the mainstay movie player on that studio. Jose "Pinggoy" Revilla (December 7, 1922 – March 9, 2011), professionally known as Armando Goyena, was a Philippine actor and matinée idol who was popular during the 1950s. Family Revilla was married to Francisca "Paquita" Roces and the couple had eight children: Maritess, Tina, Johnny, Ces, Pita, Rossi, Malu, and Cita. Mila Del Sol
Clarita Villarba Rivera, better known by her screen name Mila del Sol (12 May 1923 – 10 November 2020), was a Filipina actress, entrepreneur and philanthropist. Born in Tondo, Manila, she gained fame in her very first lead role in the 1939 film ''Giliw Ko''. She was discovered by LVN Pictures President Doña Sisang de Leon, who insisted in casting her over the objections of the film's director, who felt she was too young for the part. It was the film's director, Carlos Vander Tolosa, who gave her the screen name ''Mila del Sol'' for "causing the sun (sol) to appear as if by miracle (milagro) over his otherwise overcast set whenever she was called in to do her scenes." Darna () is a Filipina superheroine created by writer Mars Ravelo and artist Nestor Redondo. The character's first appearance was in ''Pilipino Komiks'' (Ace Publications, Inc.) #77 on May 13, 1950.
