Amada-Gaza
Amada-Gaza is a sub-prefecture of Mambéré-Kadéï in the Central African Republic. Geography The locality is located 130 km northwest of the capital of Berberati prefecture in the valley of the river Boumbé I, tributary of Kadéï. History In 2002, the locality became chief town of one of the seven sub-prefectures of Mambéré-Kadeï, resulting from a division of the sub-prefecture of Gamboula. Since at least May 2014 Amada-Gaza had been under control of the Anti-balaka. Mambéré-Kadéï is one of the 16 prefectures of the Central African Republic. The Anti-balaka is an alliance of militia groups based in the Central African Republic in the early 21st century said to be composed primarily of Christians. However, some church leaders have contested the claimed exclusively Christian character of such groups. Camille Lepage
Camille Lepage (January 28, 1988 – May 12, 2014) was a French photojournalist who was killed during the conflict in the Central African Republic in 2014. Her death was described as a murder by the French presidency and it marked the first death of a Western journalist in the conflict. Early life and career After completing her secondary education in Collège Saint-Martin in Angers, Lepage went on to study journalism in Southampton Solent University, during which she completed an Erasmus year in Utrecht's University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands. She later specialized in photojournalism and worked independently in Africa, most notably in Egypt, South Sudan and the Central African Republic. After finishing her degree in Southampton, she moved and based herself in South Sudan's capital Juba in July 2012, a year and a half before arriving to Bangui (CAR's capital) where she spent the last few months of her life. Firmin Ngrébada
Firmin Ngrébada (born 1968) is the former prime minister of the Central African Republic. He was appointed after a peace deal was signed between the government and 14 armed groups to try to suppress violence in the ongoing civil war. He also led the Central African Republic's delegation in the negotiations of the peace deal. Political career Firmin Ngrebada graduated in law, in 1988, then he obtained a Master's degree in Public Law, in 1994, at the University of Bangui. He entered public service in October 1993, inspecting social and labor law. Ngrébada served as Deputy Cabinet Director under Simplice Sarandji when Sarandji was Cabinet Director and Faustin-Archange Touadéra was Prime Minister.
