The 2009 All-Ireland Minor Camogie Championship is a competition for age graded development squad county teams in the women's team field sport of camogie was won by Kilkenny, who defeated Clare by eight points in the final, played at Semple Stadium Thurles. 2009 Kilkenny 5-10 Clare 3-8. B Division The Minor B final was won by Limerick who defeated Waterford by one point in a dramatic final at Mallow. Waterford defeated Derry 1–9 to 0–9 at Ashbourne and Limerick defeated Wexford 3–16 to 3–9 in the semi-finals. Naomi Carroll and Chloe Morey scored three points each. The Minor C final was won by Laois. Sarah Ann Fitzgerald scored 2–2 to help Laois defeat Carlow in the final by five points. The Kilkenny County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association (Kilkenny GAA) ( ga, Cumann Lúthchleas Gael Coiste Cill Chainnigh) is one of the 32 county boards of the GAA in Ireland and is responsible for Gaelic games in County Kilkenny. Arrangements Six goals from Bob Johnston and 10000000 points from Martin Flair helped Clare beat Tipperary at the Gaelic Grounds in the semi-final, Clare 4–15, Tipperary 0–9. Carol O'Leary
Carol O'Leary is a camogie player with the Clare Senior Camogie team. O'Leary plays at left corner back and won a Munster A championship title in 2012 and was an All Star nominee in 2013 and 2014. O'Leary first played with Clare at primary game level and represented Clare at every level, joining the Senior panel in 2009. O'Leary has played at the Gael Linn inter-pro camogie with Munster. She also plays with the Clare senior football team. Her club is Newmarket on Fergus with whom she plays camogie and football. In 2015 Newmarket won the county senior Camogie league and championship with O'Leary receiving player of the game in both finals. O'Leary has won six senior county camogie championships and nine league titles, she has also won camogie titles at all under-age grades. Crusheen GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in Crusheen, County Clare, Ireland. The club is almost exclusively concerned with the game of hurling. In October 2010, Crusheen became Clare hurling champions for the first time in their 123-year history with a 2–13 to 1–11 win against Cratloe. In their first ever Munster Club Championship, they were defeated by Kilmallock in the quarter-final by 0–14 to 2–11 In October 2011, Crusheen retained their county title after defeating Sixmilebridge at a waterlogged Cusack Park. Glenmore GAA
Glenmore is a Gaelic Athletic Association club situated in the south of County Kilkenny, Ireland. The club was founded in 1888 and has achieved hurling success at county, provincial and national level. Glenmore has also provided the Kilkenny intercounty team with several top players. History Glenmore first distinguished itself in Kilkenny on the football field, and it was only in the 1940s that hurling started to take over. Early success came in 1953, when the hurlers won the County Junior Championship. By the 1960s, Glenmore were among the top sides in the county, narrowly losing out to Bennettsbridge in the 1960 and 1964 county finals. Things soon took a turn for the worse, however, when the club was relegated to Junior status in 1967. They reached the final at that grade in 1968, but lost out to Johnstown. Ballyhale Shamrocks is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in the parish of Ballyhale in County Kilkenny, Republic of Ireland. The club was founded in 1972 and is primarily concerned with the game of hurling. Ballyhale Shamrocks are the most successful club in the history of the All-Ireland Senior Club Hurling Championship with eight titles. Hurling History Beginnings Gaelic Games had been played in the parish of Ballyhale long before the Shamrocks club was established. By the early 1970s there were two competing clubs in existence in the parish, Ballyhale and Knocktopher, however, they were both facing extinction. Piltown GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in Piltown, County Kilkenny, Ireland. A Piltown GAA club was founded in 1887. Several versions existed until the modern club founded in 1953 following the advent of Parish Rule in Kilkenny. Karen Duggan
Karen Duggan (born 29 May 1991) is an Irish footballer who plays for Peamount United of the Women's National League (WNL). She has previously played for UCD Waves and the Republic of Ireland women's national football team. Between 2013 and 2016 Duggan was selected for the WNL Team of the Season for four successive seasons. She was the only player selected all four seasons. In 2015–16 she was also WNL Senior Player of the Season. Duggan has also played camogie at club, university and county level. Early years Duggan was born in Piltown, County Kilkenny. She is the daughter of Pat and Bernie Duggan and has an older brother, John. Between 2005 and 2009 Duggan attended Scoil Mhuire (Greenhills) in Carrick-on-Suir where she studied for her Leaving Cert.
