Ali Usam
Ali Usam, commonly known as Dhona, is a Maldivian film actor, model and TV presenter. Career Usam began his professional career as a model in 2009 before starting to work as a host in several television shows. He made his career debut in Ravee Farooq-directed web series ''Ehenas'' which follows the experiences of a long-term domestic and sexually abused male victim and how he faces the societal obstacles of marriage. Aishath Maahaa reviewing from ''Dho?'' was generally impressed with the acting performance of the newcomers including Usam, though he had a very brief role. He then played the role of a politician who is competing for a seat in People's Majlis, in Yoosuf Shafeeu's comedy drama series '' Huvaa Kohfa Bunan''. Mariyam Dheema reviewing from ''MuniAvas'' praised his acting skills and looks, and commented "with this role he has proved that directors can mold him to play any kind of role". ''Mazloom'' () is a Maldivian four-part anthology web series directed by Ilyas Waheed. Produced by Asim Ali and Ilyas Waheed under IFilms and Kazmik International, the series focuses on several societal issues. The first chapter, following the lives of two survivors of rape assaults, stars Nuzuhath Shuaib, Ahmed Ifnaz Firag, Sharaf Abdulla and Washiya Mohamed in pivotal roles. The second chapter titled ''Zarrook'' starring Mohamed Mahil, Sharif and Nathasha Jaleel, narrates the story of a young child connecting with an imaginary friend. Ilyas Waheed
Ilyas Waheed is a Maldivian film director, producer, screenwriter and editor Early life Inspired by his father's patriotism, Waheed inclined to pursue a career as an army officer. However, while studying in grade three, he was bedridden for three months due to a leg fracture, which led him to watch numerous movies, and ultimately changing his passion from military defense to film making and visual arts. After completing his GCE Ordinary Level education from Majeediyya School, Waheed joined Maldives National Defence Force to complete his bond term. Ravee Farooq
Ravee Farooq is a Maldivian actor, director, editor and choreographer. Career Farooq made his film debut with Abdul Faththaah-directed romantic disaster film, '' Hureemey Inthizaarugaa'' (2005) cast along with Mariyam Zuhura, Waleedha Waleed, Ibrahim Jihad and Neena Saleem. The film, heavily relied on the effect of the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake on the Maldives, received favorable reviews from critics though it failed to perform financially.
