Alfred George Billing
Alfred George Billing (12 August 1903 - 13 March 1989) was an Australian surveyor who served as the eighth Surveyor-General of the Federated Malay States, from 1949 to 1952. Albert George Billing was born 12 August 1902 in Indooroopilly, Queensland, the third son and fifth of six children of George Bienvenu Billing (1864-1929) and Alice Isabel Mary née Ottaway (1871-1939). He attended Brisbane Grammar School. In February 1918 he successfully passed the Commonwealth Public Service examination, and worked in the Queensland Survey Department until 1923. In March 1924 he took up a position with the Federated Malay States Survey Department in Johore and in March 1928 was made an assistant superintendent. In September 1928 has appointed as acting deputy chief surveyor for Singapore. On 27 May 1933 he married Meta Livian Everdell (1902-1976), and on 28 November 1935 they had twins, a son and a daughter. Percy Herbert Bonnet
Percy Herbert Bonnet (25 July 1896 - 11 October 1987) was an Australian surveyor who served as the seventh Surveyor-General of the Federated Malay States, from 1945 to 1949. Percy Herbert Bonnet was born on 25 July 1896 in Bundaberg, Queensland, the son of Francois Michel Ivanoe Bonnet and Sarah Elizabeth née Caset. He was enlisted in the First Australian Imperial Force for service abroad on 29 January 1916, at age 19. He was a surveyor apprentice for three years. He was appointed the District Surveyor of Seremban (Negeri Sembilan Revenue Survey Branch) on 8 September 1923 and subsequently transferred to Selangor Revenue Survey Branch on 23 January 1924. He then worked as surveyor in Johore in 1926 and as assistant Superintendent of Survey Kulim, Kedah in 1934. The ''Telegraph'' was an evening newspaper published in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It was first published on 1 October 1872 and its final edition appeared on 5 February 1988. Negeri Sembilan (, Negeri Sembilan Malay: ''Nogoghi Sombilan'', ''Nismilan'') is a state in Malaysia which lies on the western coast of Peninsular Malaysia. Selangor
Selangor (; ), also known by its Arabic language, Arabic honorific Darul Ehsan, or "Abode of Sincerity", is one of the 13 Malaysian states. Johor

Christopher Noble (18 August 1902 - 20 July 1986) was an English surveyor who served as the ninth Surveyor-General of the Federated Malay States, from 1953 to 1956. Early life and education Christopher Noble was born on 18 August 1902 in Middlesbrough, Yorkshire, England, the oldest of two children to William Hobkirk Noble (Chief Lithographer - Survey Department, Kuala Lumpur) and Jane Annie née Ward. He attended Hanson Grammar School, Bradford, West Yorkshire before travelling to Australia, where he qualified as a licensed land surveyor at the University of Western Australia in March 1925. ''The Daily Standard'' was a newspaper published in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia from 1912 to 1936. The newspaper was closely affiliated with the Australian Labor Party (Queensland Branch). The newspaper was published from its first edition on Tuesday, 10 December 1912 through to its 7322nd edition on Tuesday, 7 July 1936.
