Alexandra de Alvarenga Solnado is a Portuguese writer who has published several books about spirituality. She has also worked as an actress and singer. Currently, she is the director of the project Therapy for the Soul. Biography Alexandra Solnado is the daughter of Raul Solnado and Joselita Alvarenga. Raul Solnado
Raul Augusto de Almeida Solnado (19 October 1929 - 8 August 2009) was a popular Portuguese actor and comedian. He was born in Lisbon's Madragoa neighborhood, and first appeared on stage there. In his long career, he developed many comic pieces that have become classics. His humour was, at the time (especially considering Portugal was still under the dictatorial Salazar regime), both unexpected and fresh. It included a lot of nonsense, and stories making fun of daily life. He often played an ingenuous poor man, whose life was neither good or bad. He portrayed characters with conviction and humor. Joana Solnado
Joana Solnado (born 21 September 1983) is a Portuguese actress. Biography Born in Lisbon, Joana Sonado is the granddaughter of actor Raul Solnado and the daughter of writer Alexandra Solnado. She studied Communications in the Lusófona University, and graduated in theater with Brazilian actor Thiago Justino and studied acting at the now defunct Moderna University. Career She participated in theater projects such as "Confissões de Adolescente" (Teenagers's Confessions) in 2002 and "Olha quem está aí para o Natal" (Look Who Is Here For Christmas) in 2003 and in several productions directed by Thiago Justino, such as "King, I Have the Dream" presented in The Edge Festival, in England with the Gulbenkian Foundation.
