Alexander Medina
Alexander Jesús Medina Reobasco (born 8 August 1978) is a Uruguayan Association football, football Manager (association football), manager and former player who played as a Forward (association football)#Striker, striker. He is the current manager of Argentine club Club Atlético Vélez Sarsfield, Vélez Sarsfield. Medina is often nicknamed ''Cacique'' (Chief) due to his command inside the field. Playing career Club Born in Salto, Uruguay, Salto, Medina began his career with local side Ferrocarril de Salto. After representing Fritsa de Tacuarembó, he made his professional debuts with Huracán Buceo in 1998. Medina subsequently represented Central Español and Liverpool F.C. Salto, Uruguay
Salto () is the capital city of the Salto Department in northwestern Uruguay. As of the 2011 census it had a population of 104,028 and is the third most populated city in Uruguay, after Montevideo and Ciudad de la Costa. The 2007–08 season was the 77th in the history of the Segunda División (known as the Liga BBVA for sponsorship reasons), the second tier of the Spanish football league system. The first matches of the season were played on 25 August 2007, and the season ended on 15 June 2008.
