Alexander Karim
Alexander Ally Karim (born 26 May 1976) is a Swedish actor and writer. He made waves as Frank Nordling on TV3's ''Advokaten'', as he was the first Black actor to play a lead character in a primetime drama in Sweden. Background Karim was born Alexander Kimbugwe Karim on 26 May 1976 in Uppsala, Sweden to a family of refugees from Uganda who came to Sweden in 1975 to escape despotic president Idi Amin. He has two brothers: director Othman "Osmond" Karim and director Baker Karim. Karim is married with three children. Career After completing the high school, he moved, as well as the brothers before him, to the United States and City College in Los Angeles, where he trained himself to actors. He later admitted to The Hudson Theater in the same city. In 2000, Karim moved back to Sweden and started working in film. TV3 (Sweden)
TV3 (''TV tre'') is a Swedish pay television channel owned by Viaplay Group. It was launched on 31 December 1987 by businessman Jan Stenbeck. The channel was initially broadcast across all of Scandinavia. In 1990, separate Danish and Norwegian feeds were launched. The channel's name refers to its launch at a time when television in Sweden was dominated by the two channels of SVT. ''Jönssonligan'', literally the ''Jönsson Gang'', is a Swedish comedy film series, originally based on the Danish series of films about the Olsen-banden, but later with unique scripts. The Jönsson gang consists of the leader and criminal genius Charles Ingvar "Sickan" Jönsson, hence the name, and his two companions "Dynamit-Harry" (an alcoholic demolitions expert) and Ragnar Vanheden (a small-timer from Stockholm). Eight films have been made in total, though in the last three films actor Gösta Ekman got tired of his character "Sickan", and was replaced by the following characters, in order; "Doctor Max Adrian Busé", "Herman Melvin" and "Sven-Ingvar 'Sivan' Jönsson".
