Alexander, Prince of Erbach-Schönberg (german: Alexander Ludwig Alfred Eberhard, Fürst & Graf zu Erbach-Schönberg; 12 September 1872 –18 October 1944) was the 2nd Prince of Erbach-Schönberg, eldest son of Gustav, 1st Prince of Erbach-Schönberg. Early life Alexander was the eldest child of Gustav, Prince of Erbach-Schönberg (August 17, 1840 – January 29, 1908), and his wife, Princess Marie of Battenberg (1852–1923), daughter of Prince Alexander of Hesse and by Rhine and his morganatic wife Countess Julia Hauke. As a result of a morganatic marriage, his mother and her siblings were excluded from the succession of the Grand Duchy of Hesse, and bore the title Princes of Battenberg. The Order of St Alexander ( bg, Орден "Свети Александър") was the second highest Bulgarian order during the Kingdom of Bulgaria. It was established by Knyaz Alexander I and named after his patron saint (Alexander Nevsky). The Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Medal also known as the Centenary Medal (german: Kaiser-Wilhelm-Erinnerungsmedaille ''Zentenarmedaille'') was established on March 22, 1897, by Wilhelm II on the occasion of the 100th Birthday of his grandfather, Emperor Wilhelm I. The medal was awarded by Prussia to state and university officials, as well as all military officers, non-commissioned officers and enlisted personnel, which were actively serving in army, navy and Schutztruppe. George Victor (14 January 1831 – 12 May 1893) was the 3rd sovereign Prince of the German state of Waldeck and Pyrmont.
