Aleksandra Golovkina
Aleksandra Golovkina (born 1 July 1998) is a Lithuanian figure skater. She is the 2014 CS Warsaw Cup bronze medalist and a six-time Lithuanian national champion (2012, 2013, 2016, 2019, 2022, 2023). She has qualified to the free skate at three European Championships. Career Golovkina competed internationally on the novice level from 2008–09 to 2011–12. Her ISU Junior Grand Prix (JGP) debut came in August 2012. In March 2013, she competed at the 2013 World Junior Championships in Milan but was eliminated after placing 39th in the short program. Golovkina began the 2013–14 season on the JGP series, placing 16th in Estonia. In November 2013, she won the junior bronze medal at the NRW Trophy before making her senior international debut at the Warsaw Cup; she placed 9th in the short program, 1st in the free skate, and 4th overall in Warsaw. 2013 NRW Trophy
The 2013 NRW Trophy is an international figure skating competition during the 2013–2014 season. An annual event organized in Germany by the Skating Union of North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW), it has been sanctioned by the Deutsche Eislauf Union and the International Skating Union since 2007. Medals are awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. The competition is held in Dortmund in two parts. The Ice Dance Trophy, in which ice dancers compete on the senior, junior, and novice levels, was held from 1–3 November 2013. Rise Like A Phoenix
"Rise Like a Phoenix" is a pop song performed by Austrian singer Conchita Wurst, and the winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 2014. Selected to represent Austria at the Eurovision Song Contest in Denmark, its official release on 18 March 2014 was followed on 21 March by Conchita's first live TV performance of the song, on the ORF show ''Dancing Stars''. "Rise Like a Phoenix" was Austria's second winning entry in the competition, their first being in 1966. Background Composer Ali Zuckowski had originally composed the song for another project, however, every major record label in Austria had refused to produce "Rise Like a Phoenix". The short program of figure skating is the first of two segments of competitions, skated before the free skating program. It lasts, for both senior and junior singles and pair skaters, 2 minutes and 40 seconds. In synchronized skating, for both juniors and seniors, the short program lasts 2 minutes and 50 seconds. Vocal music with lyrics is allowed for all disciplines since the 2014-2015 season. The short program for single skaters and for pair skaters consists of seven required elements, and there are six required elements for synchronized skaters. The 2015 European Figure Skating Championships were held 26 January – 1 February 2015 in Stockholm, Sweden. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pairs, and ice dancing. The ISU Challenger Series is a series of international figure skating competitions. Established by the International Skating Union in the 2014–15 season, it is a group of senior-level events ranked below the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating. Each event consists of at least three disciplines out of four ( men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing), and is required to take place between August 1 and December 15.
