Aleksandar Bečanović
Aleksandar Bečanović (born 1971 in Nikšić, Montenegro) is a Montenegrin poet, translator and a critic of literature and film. He has contributed to the Montenegrin weekly ''Monitor'' in its culture section. He is now a part of the cultural magazines ''Plima'' and ''Ars''. He is well known for his fanatic love towards the horror movies. He lists Howard Hawks as one of his favorite directors. Bečanović received the Risto Ratković award for best book of poetry in Montenegro in 2002. He also translates material, mostly film theory, from English. He lives in Bar. Nikšić
Nikšić ( cnr, Никшић, italic=no, sr-cyrl, Никшић, italic=no; ), is the second largest city in Montenegro, with a total population of 56,970 located in the west of the country, in the centre of the spacious Nikšić field at the foot of Trebjesa Hill. It is the center of Nikšić Municipality with population of 72,443 according to 2011 census, which is the largest municipality by area and second most inhabited after Podgorica. Montenegrins (ethnic Group)
Montenegrins ( cnr, Црногорци, Crnogorci, or ; lit. "Black Mountain People") are a South Slavic ethnic group that share a common Montenegrin culture, history, and language, identified with the country of Montenegro. The Monitor (Montenegro)
''Monitor'' () is a weekly news magazine published in Podgorica, Montenegro. Started on October 19, 1990 by journalist Milka Tadić Mijović, media publisher Miodrag Perović and businessman Stanislav Koprivica, the magazine appeared at a time when the single-party political system in SFR Yugoslavia had been abolished and its constituent republics were preparing for parliamentary elections with multiple parties. Risto Ratković
Risto Ratković (3 September 1903 – 18 June 1954) was a Serbian avant-garde (surrealist) writer and diplomat. Biography He was born in an impoverished trading family in Bijelo Polje in Montenegro. He finished Gymnasium in Novi Pazar, and in 1923 went to Belgrade where he enrolled in Faculty of Philosophy. In the period from 1927 to 1931. Bar ( Montenegrin and Serbian: Бар, ; sq, Tivar; it, Antivari or ''Antibari'') is a coastal town and seaport in southern Montenegro.
