Alana Spencer (born 11 February 1992) is an entrepreneur from Aberystwyth. She is notable for winning the twelfth series of BBC One's ''The Apprentice'' in 2016. The programme's first Welsh winner, Spencer received a £250,000 investment from Lord Sugar for her luxury cake and chocolate business, Ridiculously Rich by Alana. Aberystwyth
Aberystwyth () is a university and seaside town as well as a community in Ceredigion, Wales. Located in the historic county of Cardiganshire, means "the mouth of the Ystwyth". The twelfth series of British reality television series ''The Apprentice (UK)'' was broadcast in the UK on BBC One, from 6 October to 18 December 2016; due to live coverage of the UK EU membership referendum in late Spring of that year, alongside live coverage of Euro 2016 and the 2016 Rio Olympics during Summer, the BBC postponed the series' broadcast until the middle of Autumn to avoid clashing with these major events. Alan Michael Sugar, Baron Sugar (born 24 March 1947) is a British business magnate, media personality, author, politician and political adviser. Llanrhystud is a seaside village and electoral division on the A487 road in the county of Ceredigion, in Wales, 9 miles (14 km) south of Aberystwyth, and 7 miles (11 km) north of Aberaeron. It takes its name from an early Welsh saint. The community includes the village of Llanddeiniol. The ''Cofiwch Dryweryn'' stone wall (English: "Remember Tryweryn") lies on the A487 a mile north of the village.
