Al Taliaferro
Charles Alfred "Al" Taliaferro ( ; August 29, 1905 – February 3, 1969), was an American Disney comics artist who produced Disney comics, Disney comic strips for King Features Syndicate. Taliaferro is best known for his work on the ''Donald Duck (comic strip), Donald Duck'' comic strip. Many of his strips were written by Bob Karp. Family background The Taliaferros trace their origins to Northern Italy and were one of the early families who settled in the Colony of Virginia during the 17th century. The family name, originally , literally means "Ironcutter" in the Italian language. Early career After his family moved to Glendale, California, Taliaferro studied at the Art Institute of Los Angeles, California. Following his graduation, Taliaferro was hired as a designer for light fixtures. Disney Comics
Disney comics are comic books and comic strips featuring characters created by the Walt Disney Company, including Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and Uncle Scrooge. The first Disney comics were newspaper strips appearing from 1930 on, starting with the ''Mickey Mouse'' comic strip. ''Mickey Mouse Magazine'', the first American newsstand publication with Disney comics, launched in 1935. Montrose is a home rule municipality that is the county seat and the most populous municipality of Montrose County, Colorado, United States. Model Sheet
In visual arts, a model sheet, also known as a character board, character sheet, character study or simply a study, is a document used to help standardize the appearance, poses, and gestures of a character in arts such as animation, comics, and video games. Model sheets are required when multiple artists are involved in the production of an animated film, game, or comic to help maintain continuity in characters from scene to scene. In animation, one animator may only do one shot out of the several hundred that are required to complete an animated feature film. A character not drawn according to the production's standardized model is referred to as off-model. Model sheets are also used for references in 3D modeling to guide proper proportions of models. Anthropomorphism is the attribution of human traits, emotions, or intentions to non-human entities. It is considered to be an innate tendency of human psychology. Bucky Bug
Bucky Bug is a beetle who appears in Disney comics. He first appeared in the ''Silly Symphony'' Sunday comic strip, and later appeared as a regular feature in the comic book ''Walt Disney's Comics and Stories''. Silly Symphony Bucky Bug first appeared in the initial ''Silly Symphony'' strip, beginning January 10, 1932; he was the first character to debut in Disney comics. He was initially drawn by Earl Duvall, who subsequently left Disney and joined Warner Brothers where he created Buddy (Looney Tunes).
