Al Egla ( ar, العقلة) is a district with portions in the municipality of Al Daayen and the municipality of Doha in Qatar. It adjoins the area of the planned city of Lusail. Rather than traditional neighborhoods, Al Egla consists of two large gated compounds: Qipco Compound and Golf Gardens. Qatar
Qatar (, ; ar, قطر, Qaṭar ; local vernacular pronunciation: ), officially the State of Qatar,) is a country in Western Asia. Al Daayen
Al Daayen ( Wehr: ]; also spelled as [; Wehr: ]) is a Municipalities of Qatar, municipality in the state of Qatar. Most of the urban landscape can be found in the southern zone of the municipality, particularly in the city of Lusail, while the northern and central sections are primarily rural. It is one of the fastest growing municipalities in Qatar due to its close proximity to the capital Doha. Umm Qarn hosts the municipal office and serves as the municipality's administrative seat. Etymology Al Daayen Municipality is named after the village of the same name, which derives its name from the Arabic word "dhaayen", which roughly translates to "travel". Ad-Dawhah ( ar, الدوحة, ' or ''ad-Dōḥa'', ) is the one of the eight municipalities of Qatar. It is the most populous municipality with a population of 956,457, and is the municipality of Qatar's capital city, Doha. Etymology According to the Ministry of Municipality and Environment, the name "Doha" originated from the Arabic language, Arabic term "dohat", which means "roundness". This name is derived from the rounded bays surrounding the area's coastline. Zones Of Qatar
In the administrative divisions of Qatar, zones are the second-highest level of government after municipalities of Qatar, municipalities. As of the 2015 census, there were 98 zones. However, several of these zones are not currently in use. Over the years, numerous changes in zones have taken place. Lusail
Lusail ( ar, لوسيل, , ) is the second-largest city in Qatar, located on the coast, in the southern part of the municipality of Al Daayen. Lusail is located about north of the city centre of Doha, just north of the West Bay Lagoon, on over and will eventually have the infrastructure to accommodate 450,000 people. Of these 450,000 people, it is estimated that 250,000 or fewer will be residents, 190,000 will be office workers and 60,000 will be retail workers. It is planned to have marinas, residential areas, island resorts, commercial districts, luxury shopping and leisure facilities, and a golf course community, man made islands and several entertainment districts. West Bay Lagoon
West Bay Lagoon, also known as Leqtaifiya ( ar, لقطيفية; also spelled as Legtaifiyah or Al Qutaifiya) is a district of Doha, the capital city of Qatar. Spanning from the Doha Corniche to West Bay Lagoon, the area has villas on one side, and low rises on the other. The district is well known for its luxurious waterfront villas, which are some of the most expensive in the country. As one of the few freehold areas in Doha, properties are available for purchase by non-Qataris. Together with Onaiza and Al Qassar, it makes up Zone 66 which has a total population of 22,024. Jabal Thuaileb ( ar, جبل ثعيلب, Jabal Thu‘aylib, Fox Hills) is a district in Qatar, located in the municipality of Al Daayen. It is also a census-designated district of Ad-Dawhah. It is closely situated to Lusail. After a cabinet resolution was passed in 2002, Jabal Thuaileb became the one of three districts in Qatar where foreigners could own real estate. Etymology The "jabal" portion of the district's name means "hill" or "mountain" or in Arabic. "Thuaileb" is derived from the Arabic word "thaalab", which translates to "fox" in English. It was so named due to the presence of a prominent hill and the habitation of foxes in the area. Al Kharayej
Al Kharayej ( ar, الخرايج, Al Kharā’ij) is a district in Qatar, geographically located in the municipality of Al Daayen but also included in the census as a district of Ad-Dawhah. After a cabinet resolution was passed in 2002, Al Kharayej became the one of three settlements in Qatar where foreigners could own real estate. It is a part of Lusail city. Etymology Traditionally an agricultural settlement, Al Kharayej is named after a local saline spring, with "kharayej" being an Arabic term for saline spring. Al Tarfa
Al Tarfa ( ar, الطرفة, Aţ Ţarfah) is a district in Qatar, located in the municipality of Ad Dawhah. Together with Jelaiah and Jeryan Nejaima, it makes up Zone 68 which has a total population of 5,521 as of 2015. Jeryan Nejaima Street separates it from the district of the same name to west. To the east is Al Khor Coastal Road, which connects it with the municipality of Al Daayen. Doha Golf Club
The Doha Golf Club in Doha, Qatar is an 18-hole, 7,374-yard, par 72 championship course that was designed by Peter Harradine. The Doha Golf Club is also one of the first grass golf course ever built in the Middle East. Qatar Masters
The Qatar Masters was a European Tour golf tournament held at Doha Golf Club in Doha, Qatar. When founded in 1998, it was one of two European Tour events to be staged in the Arabian Peninsula, but was at one point, one of six.
