Al Wakrah Basketball Team ( ar, فريق كرة السلة الوكرة) is a Qatari professional basketball team based in the city of Al Wakrah, in southern Qatar. Qatari Basketball League
The Qatari Basketball League () is the top-tier men's basketball league operating in Qatar. The winning team obtains the participation right to the FIBA Asia Champions Cup. The first official season took place in 1981/82. There is a second division and two domestic cup tournaments, the Emir of Qatar Cup and the Qatar Crown Prince Cup. Al-Wakrah Stadium
Al-Janoub Stadium ( ar, استاد الجنوب, ʾIstād al-Janūb, Stadium of the South), formerly known as Al-Wakrah Stadium (), is a retractable roof football stadium in Al-Wakrah, Qatar that was inaugurated on 16 May 2019. This is the second among the eight stadiums for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, after the renovation of Khalifa International Stadium. It was designed by Iraqi-British architect Zaha Hadid (1950–2016) together with the firms AECOM and Jain and Partners of Dubai. The stadium features a curvilinear postmodernist and neo-futurist design. Al Wakrah
Al Wakrah ( ar, الوكرة, al-Wakra) is the capital city of the Al Wakrah Municipality in Qatar. Al Wakrah's eastern edge is the shores of the Persian Gulf and Qatar's capital Doha is situated to the city's immediate north. Mahmoud Fawzi (, ) (19 September 1900 – 12 June 1981) was an Egyptian diplomat and political figure who was Prime Minister of Egypt from 1970 to 1972 and the vice president of Egypt from 1972 to 1974. Biography Fawzi was born in a village near Quwaysina, Monufia Governorate. His father was a graduate of Dar al'Ulum and the Shari'a Judges School. He studied law at the University of Cairo. Earnest Lee Ross Jr. (born January 27, 1991) is an American professional basketball player who last played for Toyoda Gosei Scorpions of the Japanese B.League. Born in the U.S. territory of Guam, he represented the Guam national team for the first time in 2018.
