Air Defender 23
Air Defender 23 is the name of a major maneuver of armed forces of member states of NATO and other European countries in European airspace in 2023. It lasted 10 days, from 12 June to 23 June 2023. Although Air Defender 23 is not an exercise of NATO, but initiated by the Bundeswehr, it is the largest exercise of air forces announced since NATO was announced. The maneuver took place in the airspace of the Federal Republic of Germany and was held under the leadership of the German Air Force. It involved up to 10,000 soldiers and 250 aircraft from 25 countries. Airbus A400M
The Airbus A400M AtlasNamed after the Greek mythological figure. is a European four-engine turboprop military transport aircraft. It was designed by Airbus Military (now Airbus Defence and Space) as a tactical airlifter with strategic capabilities to replace older transport aircraft, such as the Transall C-160 and the Lockheed C-130 Hercules. The A400M is sized between the C-130 and the Boeing C-17 Globemaster III; it can carry heavier loads than the C-130 and is able to use rough landing strips. 31st Air Base
The 31st Air Base ( pl, 31. Baza Lotnicza), commonly known as Poznań-Krzesiny Airport is a Polish Air Force base and military airport, located in Krzesiny, part of the Nowe Miasto district of Poznań. The base was officially constituted on 31 December 2000, and since then has been the home base for the 3rd Tactical Squadron. It is the first base to host the recently acquired F-16 fighters. Volkel Air Base
Volkel Air Base ( nl, Vliegbasis Volkel) is a military airbase used by the Royal Netherlands Air Force (RNLAF) - Dutch: ''Koninklijke Luchtmacht (KLu)'', and is located near the village of Volkel in North Brabant, Netherlands. Neuburg Air Base
Neuburg Air Base is a military air base in Germany. It is located in the district of Neuburg on the Danube, approximately 20 km west-southwest of Ingolstadt. Its primary user is Jagdgeschwader 74 (JG 74 for short, Fighter Wing 74 in English) of the German Air Force (''Luftwaffe''), which provides air defence for Southern Germany. Lechfeld Air Base
Lechfeld Air Base is a German Air Force (''Luftwaffe'') base located 1 km east of Lagerlechfeld in Bavaria, about 20 km south of Augsburg on the Bundestrasse 17.
