The NorthPort Batang Pier is a Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) team that first played in the 2012–13 PBA season. The team took over the franchise of the Powerade Tigers in 2012 after it was sold to Sultan 900 Capital, Inc. Besides NorthPort, team owner Mikee Romero also co-owned the AirAsia Philippine Patriots of the ASEAN Basketball League. Siverino A. "Nonoy" Baclao Jr. (born June 15, 1987) is a Filipino professional basketball player for the Meralco Bolts of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). William "Bogs" Adornado (born May 26, 1951) is a Filipino former basketball player and coach. He is one of the Philippine Basketball Association's Greatest Players and was inducted to its Hall of Fame in 2005. He was a three-time PBA Most Valuable Player (1975, 1976, and 1981) and is considered one of the best Filipino basketball players of all-time. The Indonesia Warriors was an Indonesian professional basketball team that last competed in the ASEAN Basketball League (ABL). Based in Jakarta, Indonesia, the Warriors replaced Satria Muda BritAma as Indonesia's representative in ABL. On 19 January 2015, team general manager Rudolph Tulus, the commercial and corporate partnership director of Indonesia Sport Venture, the company that owns and manages the Warriors, announced that management had decided to pull the Warriors out of the 2015–16 ABL season in order to focus on its team (Satria Muda BritAma) in the domestic league. Rudolph Tulus also cited the team's poor results in the 2014 season and its responsibility to its sponsors as contributing factors to the decision. 2012 ABL Playoffs
The 2012 ABL Playoffs is the postseason of the 2012 ABL Regular Season. The four teams with the best regular season record qualify for the playoffs; the team with the higher seed is awarded the home court advantage. The semifinals are in a best-of-3 format; the team that first wins twice advances to the next round. 2012 ABL Regular Season
The 2012 ASEAN Basketball League season was the third season of competition of the ASEAN Basketball League (ABL) since its establishment. A total of eight teams will compete the league. The regular season will begin on 16 January 2012 and will end on 13 May 2012. Three teams will debut this season: the Bangkok Cobras, the San Miguel Beermen and the SSA Saigon Heat, while the Brunei Barracudas team took a leave of absence. The Hi-Tech Bangkok City, formerly known as the Thailand Tigers, Chang Thailand Slammers, and the Sports Rev Thailand Slammers is a professional basketball team, based in Bangkok, Thailand, that played in the Asean Basketball League until the 2015–16 ABL season. Satria Muda Pertamina is an Indonesian basketball team seeing action through the Perbasi's highest division since 1996. Based in the Indonesian capital of Jakarta, it is Indonesia's representative team to the inaugural Asean Basketball League. Affectionately called ''"SM Pertamina"'' or ''"SMP"''.
