2012 ABL Regular Season
The 2012 ASEAN Basketball League season was the third season of competition of the ASEAN Basketball League (ABL) since its establishment. A total of eight teams will compete the league. The regular season will begin on 16 January 2012 and will end on 13 May 2012. Three teams will debut this season: the Bangkok Cobras, the San Miguel Beermen and the SSA Saigon Heat, while the Brunei Barracudas team took a leave of absence. Satria Muda BritAma was renamed into the Indonesia Warriors, while the Westports KL Dragons were renamed as the Westports Malaysia Dragons, and Singapore Slingers were renamed Jobstreet.com Singapore Slingers. The season was delayed until January 2012 to give way to the Southeast Asian Games. Preseason The ABL underwent expansion with three new teams debuting. ASEAN Basketball League
The ASEAN Basketball League (ABL) is a professional men's basketball league in Southeast Asia and Hong Kong/Macau, which includes six teams from Southeast Asian nations (Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam), one team from Hong Kong, and one team from Macau. Brunei Times
''The Brunei Times'' was an independent English-language daily compact broadsheet newspaper published in Brunei Darussalam from 2006 to 2016. It was owned by Brunei Times PLC. San Juan Gym
The San Juan Gymnasium is an indoor sporting arena in San Juan, Metro Manila, Philippines. The arena was home to the Pilipinas MX3 Kings of the ASEAN Basketball League (ABL) and has played host to a number of basketball games of the Philippine Basketball League and the now-defunct Metropolitan Basketball Association. Westports KL Dragons
Kuala Lumpur Dragons is a professional basketball team based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia that currently plays in the ASEAN Basketball League. It also played as the Blustar Detergent Dragons in the Philippines' PBA Developmental League in 2016. History In their first year of existence, they were known as the KL Dragons before becoming the Westports KL Dragons after a sponsorship deal with West Port, Malaysia, Westports. The Ynares Sports Arena is an indoor arena located in Pasig, Philippines. The stadium has hosted the basketball games of the Philippine Basketball Association, Philippine Basketball League, and Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League, as well as college basketball tournaments.
