Westports KL Dragons
Kuala Lumpur Dragons is a professional basketball team based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia that currently plays in the ASEAN Basketball League. It also played as the Blustar Detergent Dragons in the Philippines' PBA Developmental League in 2016. History In their first year of existence, they were known as the KL Dragons before becoming the Westports KL Dragons after a sponsorship deal with West Port, Malaysia, Westports. Before the 2012 ABL season, 2012 season, the team became the Westports Malaysia Dragons. Malaysia has made the ABL semifinals in all of its first four seasons in the league but lost all four times in the semi-finals: the AirAsia Philippine Patriots in its first two semi-finals appearances, the San Miguel Beermen (ABL), San Miguel Beermen in its third year, and to the Indonesia Warriors in its fourth semi-final appearance. ASEAN Basketball League
The ASEAN Basketball League (ABL) is a professional men's basketball league in Southeast Asia and Hong Kong/Macau, which includes six teams from Southeast Asian nations (Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam), one team from Hong Kong, and one team from Macau. Hi-Tech Bangkok City
The Hi-Tech Bangkok City, formerly known as the Thailand Tigers, Chang Thailand Slammers, and the Sports Rev Thailand Slammers is a professional basketball team, based in Bangkok, Thailand, that played in the Asean Basketball League until the 2015–16 ABL season. Currently they play in the Thailand Basketball League (TBL). Hi-Tech Bangkok City play its home games at the Thai-Japanese Stadium in Bangkok. 2013 ABL Season
The 2013 ASEAN Basketball League Regular Season was the fourth season of competition of the ASEAN Basketball League (ABL) since its establishment. A total of six teams competed in the league. The regular season began on 11 January 2013 and ended on 19 May 2013. Two teams from the previous season, inaugural champions AirAsia Philippine Patriots and Bangkok Cobras did not return for the current season. Preseason The ABL underwent contraction after it was announced that the Bangkok Cobras and the AirAsia Philippine Patriots would not be returning for the current season. The Brunei Barracudas, who were on leave for the 2012 season, were not announced to the list of active teams for 2013. A new format was announced for the regular season, where the teams will play each four times, twice at home and twice away, a deviation from the earlier seasons where teams played each other thrice.
