Aiperi Medet Kyzy
Aiperi Medet Kyzy (born 30 March 1999) is a Kyrgyzstani freestyle wrestler. She won the silver medal in the women's 76kg event at the 2023 World Wrestling Championships held in Belgrade, Serbia. She also represented Kyrgyzstan at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. At the 2022 Asian Games held in Hangzhou, China, Medet Kyzy won the gold medal in the women's 76kg event. She is also a two-time medalist, including gold, at the Islamic Solidarity Games and a five-time medalist, including two gold medals, at the Asian Wrestling Championships. Career Medet Kyzy won the bronze medal in the 75kg event at the 2017 Islamic Solidarity Games held in Baku, Azerbaijan. In August 2017, she competed in the 75kg event at the World Wrestling Championships held in Paris, France. 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games
The 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games ( tr, 2021 İslami Dayanışma Oyunları) were the 5th edition of the event held from 9 to 18 August 2022 at Konya, Turkey under the aegis of Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation (ISSF). It was the first time in history that the event was organised by the Turkish Olympic Committee. Formerly scheduled to take place from 20 to 29 August 2021, the event was postponed to be held from 10 to 19 September 2021 in July 2020 by the ISSF because the original dates were coinciding with the 2020 Summer Olympics, which were postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In May 2021, the ISSF postponed the event to August 2022 citing the COVID-19 pandemic situation in the participating countries. The Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games (abbreviated as AIMAG) is a pancontinental multi-sport event held every four years among athletes from all over Asia. Wrestling at the 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games were held in Konya, Turkey from 10 to 13 August 2022. Each National Olympic Committee (NOC) has the right to participate with a maximum of one wrestler per weight category in all styles (Greco-Roman, women and freestyle). The maximum number of athletes per delegation is 30.All competitors must be of senior age category (born on or before 31 December 2004). The competitions take place by direct elimination system with an ideal number of wrestlers, i.e. 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, etc. If there is no ideal number of wrestlers in a category, qualification matches will take place. The Islamic Solidarity Games ( ar, ألعاب التضامن الإسلامي) is a multinational, multi-sport event. The Games involve the elite athletes of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation who compete in a variety of sports. The Solidarity Games were initially created to strengthen Islamic camaraderie and reinforce the values of Islam, primarily to the youth.
