Wrestling At The 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games
Wrestling at the 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games were held in Konya, Turkey from 10 to 13 August 2022. Each National Olympic Committee (NOC) has the right to participate with a maximum of one wrestler per weight category in all styles (Greco-Roman, women and freestyle). The maximum number of athletes per delegation is 30.All competitors must be of senior age category (born on or before 31 December 2004). The competitions take place by direct elimination system with an ideal number of wrestlers, i.e. 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, etc. If there is no ideal number of wrestlers in a category, qualification matches will take place. Matching is done in the order of numbers determined by the draw made by UWW. 4 Each weight category begins and ends in a day. Konya
Konya () is a major city in central Turkey, on the southwestern edge of the Central Anatolian Plateau, and is the capital of Konya Province. Zelimkhan Abakarov (russian: Зелимхан Арсенович Абакаров; born 14 July 1993) is a Russian-born Albanian wrestler. He is a gold medalist at the 2022 World Wrestling Championships. Bekzod Makhamadzhonovich Abdurakhmonov (russian: Бекзод Махамаджонович Абдурахмонов; born 15 March 1990) is an Uzbekistani freestyle wrestler and mixed martial artist. He won the gold medal at the 2014 Asian Games in the Men's 70 kg Freestyle wrestling. At the 2016 Olympics he beat former gold medalist Jordan Burroughs of the United States 11-1, but lost in the bronze-medal match to Jabrayil Hasanov of Azerbaijan. Ikhtiyor Karimovich Navruzov (born 5 July 1989 in Bukhara) is an Uzbek freestyle wrestler. He competed in the 66 kg event at the 2012 Summer Olympics and lost quarter finals match against India's Sushil Kumar. He is a silver 2015 World Wrestling Championships medalist in the 65 kg. Navruzov won a bronze medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics in the 65 kg freestyle wrestling event against Mongolia's Ganzorigiin Mandakhnaran.
