Aili Alliksoo
Aili Alliksoo (since 1980 Aili Kägu; born 9 July 1959) is an Estonian athletics competitor. She was born in Kiviõli. In 1977 she graduated from Tallinn sport school (TSIK), and 1983 Tallinn Pedagogical Institute in Russian language and literature speciality. Kiviõli
Kiviõli (russian: Кивиыли) is an industrial town in Ida-Viru County, Estonia. The settlement was founded in 1922 and became a town in 1946. The main industry is oil shale mining, which gives the town its name (literally "stone oil"). In 2000, 51% of inhabitants were ethnic Russians and 39% were Estonians. Neighborhoods of Kiviõli Included in the town limits, but somewhat separate from the main part of the town, are the districts of Küttejõu and Varinurme. Püssi
Püssi is a town in Lüganuse Parish, Ida-Viru County, in northeastern Estonia, with a population of 917 . It is located near the road between Tallinn and St. Petersburg. History Following the end of the Soviet Union's 45-year rule over Estonia, Püssi saw a sharp economic downturn and a population exodus. In 1989 the population of Püssi stood at 2,400 people, and 20 years later, in 2009, was only 1,809. The population has continued to decrease and by 2012 stood at 1,783 people. In October 2013, Püssi along with Maidla Parish were merged into Lüganuse Parish, and therefore ceased to exist as sovereign municipalities. Economy By 2002 Püssi had accumulated 20 million kroons of debt, the equivalent to 1.3 million euros; and property values had become so low that apartments were valued around zero.
