Adil Ismayilov
Adil Alviz oglu Ismayilov ( az, Adil Əlviz oğlu İsmayılov; 5 July 1957 – 3 December 2020) was an Azerbaijani lawyer, jurist, investigator, and a public figure. A member of the Azerbaijani Bar Association, Ismayilov participated in the most well-known trials in Azerbaijan during the 1990s and 2000s. Life Adil Alviz oglu Ismayilov was born on 5 July 1957, in Goychay, the administrative center of Goychay District in the Azerbaijani SSR, which at the time was part of the Soviet Union. He studied at the secondary school No. 172 named after Suleyman Sani Akhundov in Baku. From 1973 to 1978, he studied at the Faculty of Law of the Azerbaijani State University. Goychay (city)
Goychay ( az, Göyçay, russian: Геокчай) is a city, municipality and the capital of the Goychay District of Azerbaijan. The municipality includes the city of Goychay and the nearby village of Qızılqaya. As of December 2016 the urban population of Goychay was estimated at 42,500, an increase of around 20% since 2004 when the population was recorded as being 35,344. History The settlement dates back to the late 1850s following the devastating 1859 earthquake in Shemakha, though the town was only officially incorporated as such in 1916. 1993 Azerbaijani Coup D'état
The 1993 Azeri ''coup d'état'', also known as Ganja Uprising, took place on 4 June 1993 by militia led by military commander Surat Huseynov, which overthrew President Abulfaz Elchibey and brought Heydar Aliyev to power. While the Azerbaijan lost the war which opposed it to the Armenia, president Abulfaz Elchibey sent the Commander Surat Huseynov due to its military failures. It thereby created a hostile militia to the Government, precipitating the defeat of the Azerbaijan. However, Elchibey's government had been discredited by Huseynov's military victories, which formed his militia in his native Nakhchivan, with weapons provided by the Russian army. Gurgen Margaryan
On 19 February 2004, Gurgen Margaryan ( hy, Գուրգեն Մարգարյան; 26 September 1978 – 19 February 2004), a lieutenant in the Armenian army, was murdered in Budapest, Hungary, by Ramil Safarov, a lieutenant in the Azerbaijani army. In September 2013, a monument dedicated to Margaryan was unveiled in Yerevan. Education Margaryan was born in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia. Isgandar Majid oglu Hamidov ( az, İsgəndər Məcid oğlu Həmidov) (also transliterated as ''Iskender Majid oglu Hamidov'' or ''Iskander Medjid oglu Hamidov''; April 10, 1948 in Bağlıpəyə village, Kalbajar rayon – February 26, 2020 in Baku) was an Azerbaijani politician, Minister of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan who served in the Popular Front government of 1992–1993. As a chairman of Azerbaijan National Democrat Party, informally known as the Grey Wolves, Hamidov pleaded for the creation of a unified Turkic country which would include northern Iran and extend itself to Siberia, India and China.
