Adam Smith (director)
Adam Smith is an English film, television drama, documentary, and music video director. His filmmaking journey began as a teenager, making visuals for raves and nightclubs in a creative collective, which he co founded, called Vegetable Vision. Smith started his television directing career in 2007, with four episodes of the television series ''Skins (UK TV series), Skins''. He then went on to directing episodes of the BBC One drama ''Little Dorrit (TV series), Little Dorrit'', based on Charles Dickens' novel.[1] In 2010, he directed the first episode of the revival fifth series of ''Doctor Who'', 'The Eleventh Hour (Doctor Who), The Eleventh Hour' and episodes four and five titled 'The Time of Angels' and 'Flesh and Stone'. Skins (UK TV Series)
''Skins'' is a British teen comedy drama television series that follows the lives of a group of teenagers in Bristol, South West England, through the two years of sixth form. Its controversial story-lines have explored issues like dysfunctional families, mental illness (such as depression, eating disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, and bipolar disorder), adolescent sexuality, gender, substance abuse, death, and bullying. Each episode generally focuses on a particular character or subset of characters and the struggles they face in their lives, with the episodes named after the featured characters. Design and Art Direction (D&AD), formerly known as British Design and Art Direction, is a British educational organisation that was created in 1962 to promote excellence in design and advertising. Michael Geoffrey Skinner (born 27 November 1979) is an English rapper, singer-songwriter, musician, and record producer. Best known for the music project the Streets, Skinner has also released music as a solo artist, as part of the D.O.T. with frequent collaborator Rob Harvey, and under the pseudonym The Darker the Shadow the Brighter the Light. Early life Skinner was born in Barnet, but grew up in West Heath, Birmingham. He started playing with keyboards at the tender age of five.
