''Abronia zongolica'' is a species of lizard in the family Anguidae. The species is endemic to Mexico. It is known from mature pine-oak forests at elevations of above sea level in the eponymous Sierra de Zongolica, Veracruz. Anguidae
Anguidae refers to a large and diverse family of lizards native to the Northern Hemisphere. Common characteristics of this group include a reduced supratemporal arch, striations on the medial faces of tooth crowns, osteoderms, and a lateral fold in the skin of most taxa. The group includes the slowworms, glass lizards, and alligator lizards, among others. Zongolica is a municipality located in the south zone in the State of Veracruz, about 100 km from state capital Xalapa. It has a surface of 63.34 km2. It is located at .
