Abdul Ghafoor Bhurgri
Abdul Ghafoor Bhurgri ( sd, عبدا لغفورڀرڳڙي) (January 1921 - 10 February 2015), was a lawyer, writer and politician from Larkana, Pakistan. Early life Abdul Ghafoor Bhurgri was born on 1 January 1921, in the village of Ghulam Nabi Bhurgri, Shahdadkot. His father, Abdul Jalil Bhurgri, was a government employee and also practiced agriculture. Education Bhurgri received primary education in Shahdadkot and matriculated from Madrassah High School, Larkana. After graduating from C & S College, Shikarpur, affiliated with Bombay University, he attended the Aligarh Muslim University He gained his LLB and Masters in the Persian language between 1942 and 1946. Shahdadkot
Shahdadkot ( sd, شھدادڪوٽ; ur, ) is the most populated and largest Tehsil of Qambar Shahdadkot District of Sindh, Pakistan. It was named after the town founder Shahdad Khan Khuhawar. It is located around 51 kilometres northwest of Larkana and 34 kilometers north of Qambar. The town is in close proximity to three districts of Balochistan namely Khuzdar, Jhal Magsi and Jaffarabad in the west and north of the district. It is linked on the M8 motorway route between Gwadar and Ratodero. Town is also a political stronghold of Pakistan People's Party since 1970. Sindhi People
Sindhis ( sd, سنڌي Perso-Arabic: सिन्धी Devanagari; ) are an Indo-Aryan ethnic group who speak the Sindhi language and are native to the province of Sindh in Pakistan. After the partition of British Indian empire in 1947, many Sindhi Hindus and Sindhi Sikhs migrated to the newly independent Dominion of India and other parts of the world. Pakistani Sindhis are predominantly Muslim with a smaller Sikh and Hindu minority, whereas Indian Sindhis are predominantly Hindu with a Sikh, Jain and Muslim minority. Abdul-Majid Bhurgri
Abdul-Majid Bhurgri ( sd, عبدالماجد ڀرڳڙي) (born February 8, 1948) is the founder of computing in the Sindhi language. He hails from Larkano, Sindh, Pakistan, and now lives in Seattle, USA. His work from 1987 to 1988 enabled the use of Sindhi on personal computers and revolutionized the Sindhi printing and publishing industry and largely with his work the later upcoming Sindhi generation helped further digitize it. From 2000 to 2001, Bhurgri developed the first Sindhi Unicode font, obtained support for Sindhi on the Microsoft Windows platform, developed resources to make the use of standard Sindhi possible on the Windows operating system, and made these resources freely available on the Internet. In 2002, Bhurgri wrote a paper for Microsoft titled “Enabling Pakistani Languages Through Unicode”. Referring to Bhurgri's paper, Microsoft's Michael S. Bhurgri ( sd, ڀرڳڙي) is a Baloch tribe which lives in various provinces of Pakistan. History – Origin The tribe itself is of Baloch origin, having come into Sindh in the late 17th century from the Sulaiman Ranges. The tribe has played a very important role since the start of the Baloch Talpur dynasty's reign, having held important roles in their governance and later on partaking in the wars against the British. Syed Ghulam Hussain Shah Bukhari (; 1932 – 26 January 2023) was a Sindhi Pakistani Islamic scholar. He belonged to the Naqshbandi Sufi school of thought. He managed the Dargah Hussainabad, one of the largest religious institutions in Pakistan. Biography Syed Ghulam Hussain Shah Bukhari was born in 1932 in the village of Drib Chandia, Qambar Shahdadkot, Bombay Presidency, British India. In 1980, he built a masjid and madrassa titled ''Dargah Hussainabad'' where religious education and accommodation is free of all political associations.
