''Aasha'' is a 1983 Indian Kannada film, directed by A. T. Raghu and produced by R. F. Manik Chand. The film stars Ambarish, Arjun Sarja, Kumari Indira and Kalaranjini in the lead roles. The film has musical score by G. K. Venkatesh. Ambareesh went on to star in a 1991 movie with a similar storyline titled '' Garuda Dhwaja''. The movie was remade in Hindi in 1984 as '' Meri Adalat'' starring Rajinikanth and in Malayalam in 1984 as ''Ivide Thudangunnu'' starring Mohanlal. Ambarish
In Hindu mythology, Ambarisha ( sa, अम्बरीषः, ) is an Ikshvaku king, and the son of Mandhata.Pargiter, F.E. (1972) 922 ''Ancient Indian Historical Tradition'', Delhi: Motilal Banarsidass, p.92. He is believed to have conquered the whole world in a week. He lived during the Treta Yuga. Ambareesh
Malavalli Huchchegowda Amarnath (29 May 1952 – 24 November 2018), known by his screen name Ambareesh, was an Indian actor, media personality, politician from the state of Karnataka. Alongside Rajkumar and Vishnuvardhan, he is counted in Kannada cinema's "triumvirate" as its most celebrated actor. With his debut in Puttanna Kanagal's ''Naagarahaavu'' (1972), Ambareesh's acting career commenced with a brief phase of portraying antagonistic and supporting characters. Thoogudeepa Srinivas
Mysore Srinivas (17 April 1943 – 16 October 1995), known by his stage name Thoogudeepa Srinivas was an Indian actor who appeared in Kannada films and is remembered for his portrayal of negative-shaded characters. He is the father of actor, Darshan and film director Dinakar. Early life Srinivas was born to Muniswami and Parvathamma in 1943 as their fourth son. He had eight siblings. He lost his parents at a young age. Right from his childhood days, Srinivas was interested in theatre and cinema and was a regular participant in his school and college plays. During one of these plays, he caught the eye of another theatre artist M. P. Shankar, whom he later went on to star with in many Kannada films.
