Aaron Leitmannstetter
Aaron Maria Leitmannstetter (born 5 April 1993) is a German professional golfer. He played on the European Challenge Tour during 2018. Amateur career Leitmannstetter was born and brought up in Maitenbeth, Germany and started playing golf very early. At the age of one and a half, he picked up the club for the first time. He represented the German national team in the years of 2010 and 2011. As an amateur he won the Hellenic Amateur Championship in 2009 and reached the semi-finals of the Boys Amateur Championship in 2010, losing to the eventual winner, Adrián Otaegui. Challenge Tour
The Challenge Tour is the second-tier men's professional golf tour in Europe. It is operated by the PGA European Tour and, as with on the main European Tour and the European Senior Tour, some of the events are played outside Europe. History The tour was introduced in 1986 and was initially called the ''Satellite Tour''. The Order of Merit was introduced in 1989, with the top five players on it winning membership of the European Tour for the following season. The following year the tour was renamed the Challenge Tour. Up to 1993 the Challenge Tour rankings were based on each player's best several results, but since 1994 it has been a straightforward money list, with all results counting. MENA Golf Tour
The MENA Tour is a golf tour in the Middle East and North Africa. It was founded in 2011 by the Dubai-based Shaikh Maktoum Golf Foundation. It was previous affiliated to The R&A and the Arab Golf Federation. The previous iteration of the tour was open to both professionals and amateurs. In 2016 and 2017, the top five professionals on the Order of Merit received Sunshine Tour cards for the following season, with those 6th to 15th earning entry into the final stage of the Sunshine Tour's Q School. The MENA Tour was included in the Official World Golf Ranking from May 2016, with three points awarded for 54-hole events and five for 72-hole events. The tour was cancelled in 2018 but started again in 2019, with five events planned for February and March 2019 with a further five in October and November. The Pro Golf Tour, formerly the EPD Tour (European Professional Development Tour), is a developmental professional golf tour based in Germany. It is a third-level tour, the highest level of men's golf in Europe being the European Tour, and the second level being the Challenge Tour. The other third-level tours in Europe are the United Kingdom-based PGA EuroPro Tour, the Alps Tour, which is sanctioned by the national golf unions of several countries, including France and Italy, and the Nordic Golf League in the Nordic countries. Beginning in July 2015, the four third-level tours carry Official World Golf Ranking points. The EPD Tour was established by Canadian golf professional Wayne Hachey in 1997 and has been recognised as an official third level tour by the PGA European Tour since 2001. Professional Golfer
A professional golfer is somebody who receives payments or financial rewards in the sport of golf that are directly related to their skill or reputation. A person who earns money by teaching or playing golf is traditionally considered a "golf pro," most of whom are teachers/coaches. The professional golfer status is reserved for people who play, rather than teach, golf for a career. In golf, the distinction between amateurs and professionals is rigorously maintained. An amateur who breaches the rules of amateur status may lose their amateur status. Boys Amateur Championship
The Boys Amateur Championship is a golf tournament which is held annually in the United Kingdom. The competition is organised and run by The R&A. History The Boys Amateur Championship was first played at Royal Ascot in 1921. In 1921 boys had to be under-16 but this was raised to under-17 in 1922 and to under-18 in 1923, which is the age limit that has been retained since. The venue for the competition has been played at many golf courses throughout the United Kingdom and has frequented several golf courses on more than one occasion. Notably the first two completion were both played at Royal Ascot. The first championship started on 5 September 1921 with nearly 50 boys competing. The first day saw 14-year-old Henry Cotton play the eventual winner, Donald Mathieson, Cotton losing by 2 holes. } Adrián Otaegui Jaúregui (born 21 November 1992) is a Spanish professional golfer from San Sebastián who currently plays on the European Tour and also the LIV Golf Invitational Series. He has won four times on the European Tour. Amateur career Otaegui had a successful amateur career which included winning the 2010 Boys Amateur Championship at Kilmarnock (Barassie) Golf Club where he beat Max Rottluff 4 & 3 in the final. Professional career Otaegui turned professional in July 2011. From 2011 to 2013 he played on the Challenge Tour.
