Aaron Heading (born 21 May 1987) is a clay-pigeon shooter, specialising in the Trap discipline. He represents England and Great Britain. In 2010 Heading earned selection for the England shooting team for the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi from 3–14 October 2010. He won Bronze when competing in the men's trap pairs, with partner David Kirk, and Gold in the singles event. King's Lynn
King's Lynn, known until 1537 as Bishop's Lynn and colloquially as Lynn, is a port and market town in the borough of King's Lynn and West Norfolk in the county of Norfolk, England. It is located north of London, north-east of Peterborough, north-north-east of Cambridge and west of Norwich. History Toponymy The etymology of King's Lynn is uncertain. Clay pigeon shooting, also known as clay target shooting, is a shooting sport involving shooting a firearm at special flying targets known as clay pigeons, or clay targets. The terminology commonly used by clay shooters often relates to times past, when live-pigeon competitions were held. Although such competitions were made illegal in the United Kingdom in 1921, a target may still be called a "bird", a hit may be referred to as a "kill", and a missed target as a "bird away"; the machine which projects the targets is still known as a "trap".
