Aaron Hardie
Aaron Mark Hardie (born 7 January 1999) is an Australian cricketer who plays for Australia, Western Australia and Perth Scorchers. Domestic career In January 2018, he was added to Australia's squad for the 2018 Under-19 Cricket World Cup, but was later ruled out of the tournament due to injury. In November 2018, he played for the Cricket Australia XI team in a four-day match against India at the Sydney Cricket Ground. During the match, he took the wicket of India's captain Virat Kohli, finishing with figures of four wickets for 50 runs in the first innings, and scored 86 runs while batting. Hardie described the experience as being "a bit surreal". He made his Twenty20 debut for the Perth Scorchers in the 2018–19 Big Bash League season on 9 January 2019. He bowled one over, conceding thirteen runs, and did not bat, with the Perth Scorchers winning by six wickets. The Australia cricket team are scheduled to tour South Africa in August 2023 to play five One Day International (ODI) and three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. The 2022 County Championship (referred to as the LV= Insurance County Championship for sponsorship reasons) was the 122nd cricket County Championship season in England and Wales. The season began on 7 April and ended on 29 September 2022. Warwickshire were the defending champions. The 2022 Vitality Blast was the 2022 season of the T20 Blast, a professional Twenty20 cricket league played in England and Wales. The tournament was held from 25 May to 16 July 2022. The 2021–22 Sheffield Shield season was the 120th season of the Sheffield Shield, the domestic first-class cricket competition that was played in Australia. The tournament started in September 2021 ahead of the 2021–22 Ashes series. Queensland were the defending champions. The 2018–19 Sheffield Shield season was the 117th season of the Sheffield Shield, the domestic first-class cricket competition in Australia. The season started on 16 October 2018. For the first time in six seasons, the competition featured no day/night matches. First-class Cricket
First-class cricket, along with List A cricket and Twenty20 cricket, is one of the highest-standard forms of cricket. A first-class match is one of three or more days' scheduled duration between two sides of eleven players each and is officially adjudged to be worthy of the status by virtue of the standard of the competing teams. Matches must allow for the teams to play two innings each, although in practice a team might play only one innings or none at all. The etymology of "first-class cricket" is unknown, but it was used loosely before it acquired official status in 1895, following a meeting of leading English clubs. At a meeting of the Imperial Cricket Conference (ICC) in 1947, it was formally defined on a global basis.
