Aarani Satyanarayana
Aarani Satyanarayana or Arani Satyanarayana ( te, ఆరణి సత్యనారాయణ) (11 November 1898 – 2 July 1969) was a Telugu film and drama actor during the early period of Telugu cinema.Sahajanata Aarani Satyanarayana, Tolinati Gramophone Gayakulu by Modali Nagabhushana Sharma, Creative Links Publications, Hyderabad, 2010, pp. 36-7. He was born in Sangadi Gunta village in Guntur district in 1898. He acted in ''Gayopakhyanam'' drama as Satyabhama at the age of 14 in 1912. He entered the cinema industry during the silent era, where he was introduced by R. S. Prakash in 1921. He later acted in ''Ramadasu'' (1933) of Ghantasala Balaramayya. He got a good name for portraying the role of Vidura in '' Draupadi Vastrapaharanam'' (1936) from Saraswati Talkies. ''Devadasu'' is a 1953 Indian romance film directed by Vedantam Raghavayya and produced by D. L. Narayana for Vinodha Pictures. Chakrapani wrote the script based on Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay's novel, ''Devdas''. C. R. Subbaraman composed the film's music. The film was edited by P. V. Narayanan, while B. S. Ranga provided the cinematography. The film focuses on Devadasu and Parvati, who have been in love since childhood. Devadas' father rejects the proposal from Parvati's family. Parvati's father forces her to marry a middle-aged ''zamindar''. Unable to cope with his failure to win Parvati, Devadas turns into a drunkard, and the rest of the film is about whether or not Devadas meets Parvati again. '' Laila Majnu '' is a 1949 Telugu-language historical romance film, based on the Sufi legend of ''Laila-Majnu''. It is produced and directed by P. S. Ramakrishna Rao under the Bharani Pictures banner. It stars Bhanumathi and Akkineni Nageswara Rao, with music composed by C. R. Subburaman. The film was simultaneously released in Tamil with same title. The film was successful at the box office. Plot Laila (Bhanumathi Ramakrishna) is the daughter of Ameer Sarvaar (Mukkamala) and Khais (Akkineni Nageswara Rao), the son of Ameer Umri (Arani Satyanarayana). Love blossoms between Laila and Khais as they grow up. Ameer Sarvaar, unable to dissuade his daughter from seeing Khais, shifts to Mecca. ''Ramadasu'' is a 1964 Indian Telugu-language biographical film, based on the life of Kancharla Gopanna, produced and directed by V. Nagayya. It stars Nagayya, with N. T. ''Balayogini'' ( ''Girl Saint'') is a 1937 Indian film made in Tamil language, Tamil and Telugu language, Telugu languages. It was directed by K. Subramanyam. It is one of the earliest Tamil films to be set in a contemporary social setting and to advocate reformist social policies. This film is considered to be first children's talkie film of South India. Production Subramanyam, was influenced by the reformist ideals of his father C.V. Krishnaswamy Iyer. He was moved by the social conditions around him to make reform oriented films.
