ATP Athens Open
The ATP Athens Open is a defunct Grand Prix and ATP Tour affiliated tennis tournament held annually in Athens in Greece from 1986 to 1994, played on outdoor clay courts at Athens Lawn Tennis Club. In 2008 the tournament was renewed under the new name of the Status Athens Open on the ATP Challenger Series, awarding $75,000 in prize money. Bruno Orešar
Bruno Orešar (born 21 April 1967) is a Croatian businessman and former professional tennis player who competed for Yugoslavia. Tennis career Orešar had a highly successful junior tennis career. He is a three-time winner of Orange Bowl, his third win coming after beating the then-16-year-old Boris Becker in the final. At one time he was the number one ranked junior in the world. Orešar's senior career was less successful. Apart from winning two gold medals in the 1987 Summer Universiade (in singles and in mixed doubles with Sabrina Goleš), his biggest singles tournament successes were reaching the finals of Athens and Båstad in 1988 and 1989 respectively. Alberto Berasategui Salazar (born 28 June 1973) is a former top-10 professional tennis player from Spain. He was a Grand Slam finalist at the 1994 French Open, and won a total of 14 ATP singles titles, achieving a career-high singles ranking of world no. 7 in November 1994. Tennis career Berasategui won a total of 14 top-level singles titles and one tour doubles title. All of them, as well as all losses in finals, were on clay. Sergi Bruguera
Sergi Bruguera i Torner (; born 16 January 1971) is a former professional tennis player from Spain. He won consecutive men's singles titles at the French Open in 1993 and 1994, a silver medal at the 1996 Olympic Games in men's singles and reached a career-high ranking of No. 3 in August 1994. Bruguera is the only player to have a winning record against both Roger Federer and Pete Sampras. He won three of his five matches against Sampras: Bruguera leads 1–0 on hard court, 2–1 on clay, and Sampras leads 1–0 on carpet. Franco Davín
Franco Davín (; born January 11, 1970) is a tennis coach and a former tennis player from Argentina. Davín won his first ATP-tour match at 15 years, 1 month against Hans Gildemeister in Buenos Aires. He holds the Open Era record for being the youngest player to win a tour level main draw match. Davín won three singles tournaments on the ATP Tour, and reached a career-high singles ranking of World No. 30 in October 1990. He coached fellow countryman Juan Martín del Potro until July 2015, and was the captain of the Argentine Davis Cup team. Under Davín's tutelage, Del Potro won the 2009 US Open, defeating Rafael Nadal in the semi-finals and Roger Federer in the final en route to the championship. Mark Koevermans (born 3 February 1968) is a former tennis player from the Netherlands, who turned professional in 1987.
