A. M. M. Safiullah
A. M. M. Safiullah (17 August 1947 – 24 April 2021) was a Bangladeshi academic. He served as the 3rd vice-chancellor of Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology and the 10th vice-chancellor of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). Education Safiullah studied in East Pakistan Cadet College (later renamed to Faujderhat Cadet College). He earned his bachelor's and master's in civil engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in 1969 and 1977 respectively. He obtained his PhD degree from the University of Strathclyde in 1981 with a Commonwealth Scholarship. Career Safiullah joined BUET as a lecturer in civil engineering in 1973 and eventually became a professor in 1984. He held the position of the 10th vice-chancellor of BUET from August 2006 until August 2010. Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a contagious disease caused by a virus, the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). Faujdarhat Cadet College
Faujdarhat Cadet College is a historic public military high school (grade 7 to grade 12), modelled after public schools in the UK (according to the Public Schools Act 1868), run following the national curriculum of Bangladesh in English version, financed partially by the Bangladesh Army, located at Faujdarhat, near Chattogram, in Bangladesh. History Faujdarhat Cadet College boards up to 300 boys for grades 7 to 12. Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, commonly known by the acronym BUET, is a public technological research university in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Founded in 1876 as the Dacca Survey School, it is the oldest institution for the study of engineering, architecture and urban planning in Bangladesh. A large number of BUET alumni are active in notable engineering and non-engineering roles in Bangladesh and abroad. History Dacca Survey School was established in 1876 at Nalgola, west of the current Sir Salimullah Medical College campus, in Old Dhaka by the Government of Bengal under British Raj.
