6th Montessori School Anne Frank
The 6th Montessori School Anne Frank ( nl, 6e Montessorischool Anne Frank) (or Anne Frank School ( nl, Anne Frankschool) for short) is a public Montessori primary school in the Rivierenbuurt, Amsterdam. History The school was founded in 1933 as the sixth school in the Netherlands according to Maria Montessori's educational methodology. Originally, it was named the 6th Montessori School. Anne Frank attended the affiliated kindergarten from April 1934, and later attended the school. In her class were also students who, like Anne Frank, had fled Nazi Germany with their families because they were Jewish, among them Hanneli Goslar. During the years of the Nazi occupation of the Netherlands, anti-Jewish measures were enacted. After the summer vacations of 1941, the occupying forces decreed that the 151 Jewish students had to leave the school and instead go to a Jewish school. Among others, Anne Frank left the primary school in 1941 and continued her education at the Jewish Lyceum ...

Nazi Occupation Of The Netherlands
Despite Dutch neutrality, Nazi Germany invaded the Netherlands on 10 May 1940 as part of Fall Gelb (Case Yellow). On 15 May 1940, one day after the bombing of Rotterdam, the Dutch forces surrendered. The Dutch government and the royal family relocated to London. Princess Juliana and her children sought refuge in Ottawa, Canada until after the war. The invaders placed the Netherlands under German occupation, which lasted in some areas until the German surrender in May 1945. Active resistance, at first carried out by a minority, grew in the course of the occupation. The occupiers deported the majority of the country's Jews to Nazi concentration camps. Due to the high variation in the survival rate of Jewish inhabitants among local regions in the Netherlands, scholars have questioned the validity of a single explanation at the national level. In part due to the well-organized population registers, about 70% of the country's Jewish population were killed in the course of World Wa ...

Educational Institutions Established In 1933
Education is a purposeful activity directed at achieving certain aims, such as transmitting knowledge or fostering skills and character traits. These aims may include the development of understanding, rationality, kindness, and honesty. Various researchers emphasize the role of critical thinking in order to distinguish education from indoctrination. Some theorists require that education results in an improvement of the student while others prefer a value-neutral definition of the term. In a slightly different sense, education may also refer, not to the process, but to the product of this process: the mental states and dispositions possessed by educated people. Education originated as the transmission of cultural heritage from one generation to the next. Today, educational goals increasingly encompass new ideas such as the liberation of learners, skills needed for modern society, empathy, and complex vocational skills. Types of education are commonly divided into formal, ...

Anne Frank's Diary
''The Diary of a Young Girl'', also known as ''The Diary of Anne Frank'', is a book of the writings from the Dutch-language diary kept by Anne Frank while she was in hiding for two years with her family during the Nazi occupation of the Netherlands. The family was apprehended in 1944, and Anne Frank died of typhus in the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp in 1945. Anne's diaries were retrieved by Miep Gies and Bep Voskuijl. Lyceum
The lyceum is a category of educational institution defined within the education system of many countries, mainly in Europe. The definition varies among countries; usually it is a type of secondary school. Generally in that type of school the things that are taught are basic science and also in some part of that type of schools, some introduction to specific kind of jobs also may be done. History ''Lyceum'' is a Latin rendering of the Ancient Greek (), the name of a '' gymnasium'' in Classical Athens dedicated to Apollo Lyceus. This original lyceum is remembered as the location of the peripatetic school of Aristotle. Some countries derive the name for their modern schools from the Latin but use the Greek name for the ancient school: for example, Dutch has (ancient) and (modern), both rendered ''lyceum'' in English (note that in classical Latin the ''C'' in was always pronounced as a ''K'', not a soft ''C'', as in modern English). The name ''lycée'' was retrieved and utili ...
