43rd Corps (People's Republic Of China)
The 43rd Army Corps was one of the formations of the People's Liberation Army Ground Forces. History First Formation From September to November 1945, according to the strategic plan of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party to develop into the northeast and strive for control of the northeast, the 7th Division of the Shandong Military Region of the 8th Route Army with more than 8,000 men and the troops of the Bohai Military Region with more than 5,000 men (organized into 3 regiments) advanced into the Northeast. Later, they advanced to the area west of Harbin and merged with the 19th Brigade of the Jijie-Liao Military District under the Jinchaji Military Region, which had entered the Northeast first, to form the 7th Division of the Northeast Democratic Alliance Army. Lai Chuanzhu
Lai Chuanzhu (; 3 April 1910 – 24 December 1965) or Peng Ying () was a general of the People's Liberation Army from Gan County, Jiangxi. Lai joined the Communist Youth League of China in November 1926, the Chinese Communist Party in April 1927 and the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army in March 1928. Following outbreak of the Chinese Civil War, he was appointed as the 33rd Group Commander and Political Commissar in the Chinese Red Army, Chief of Staff of the 12th Division, Red Fifth Army's 37th Political Secretary, Vice Minister of the Organization Department of the Red Army and other key positions. He embarked on the Long March as the Acting Minister of the Provincial Committee of CPC Shaanxi-Gansu Region. Guiyang (; ; Mandarin pronunciation: ), historically rendered as Kweiyang, is the capital of Guizhou province of the People's Republic of China. Wuhan (, ; ; ) is the capital of Hubei Province in the People's Republic of China. Guangzhou Military Region
The Guangzhou Military Region was from 1955 to 2016 one of the People's Liberation Army PLA Military Regions, located in the south of the People's Republic of China. In May 1949, the Central China (Hua Zhong) Military Region (MR) was formed. In March 1955, it was divided into two, the Guangzhou MR and the Wuhan Military Region. When the Wuhan MR was disbanded in August 1985, its troops stationed around the Hubei province were assigned to the Guangzhou MR. The region was disestablished in 2016 and reorganised as the Southern Theater Command. Just before being disbanded, the Guangzhou MR controlled the Guangdong Province, Guangxi Autonomous Region, Hunan Province, Hubei Province, and the Hainan Province Military Districts. 132nd Motorized Infantry Brigade (People's Republic Of China)
The 132nd Division () was created in November 1948 under ''the Regulation of the Redesignations of All Organizations and Units of the Army'', issued by Central Military Commission on November 1, 1948, basing on the 21st Division, 7th Column of the PLA Northeastern Field Army. Its history can be traced to Independent Division of Western Manchurian Military District formed in March 1947, which was formed from 1st and 2nd Special Troops Regiment of 3rd division, New Fourth Army. The division is part of 44th Corps. Under the flag of 132nd division it took part in several major battles during the Chinese Civil War. The division was composed of 394th, 395th and 396th Regiments. Leizhou Peninsula
The Leizhou Peninsula, alternately romanized as the Luichow Peninsula, is a peninsula in the southernmost part of Guangdong province in South China. History Qing naval forces were stationed at the Leizhou Peninsula. During the 19th century, the area was a hotbed of piracy, many pirates, such as Zheng Yi and Wu Shi Er, were based in the area. Originally, it was the 156th Division (), which was created in November 1948 under ''the Regulation of the Redesignations of All Organizations and Units of the Army'', issued by Central Military Commission on November 1, 1948, basing on the 6th Independent Division, PLA Northeastern Field Army.
