35th Legislative Assembly Of Ontario
The 35th Legislative Assembly of Ontario was in session from September 6, 1990, until April 28, 1995, just prior to the 1995 general election. The majority party was the Ontario New Democratic Party led by Bob Rae. David William Warner served as speaker for the assembly. Bob Rae
Robert Keith Rae (born August 2, 1948) is a Canadian diplomat and former politician who is the current Canadian Ambassador to the United Nations since 2020. He previously served as the 21st premier of Ontario from 1990 to 1995, leader of the Ontario New Democratic Party from 1982 to 1996, and interim leader of the Liberal Party of Canada from 2011 to 2013. Between 1978 and 2013, he was elected 11 times to federal (Broadview, Broadview-Greenwood, Toronto Centre) and provincial (York South) parliaments. Brad Ward
Bradley Richard Ward (born November 23, 1956) is a former politician in Ontario, Canada. He served in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario from 1990 to 1995 as a New Democrat and was a junior minister in Bob Rae's government from 1993 to 1995. Background Ward was a Bell Canada employee before entering political life. Active in the labour movement, he served on the Brantford and District Labour Council and was named Labour Citizen of the Year in 1989. Municipal politics He ran for the Brantford City Council in 1982 on a Labour Council/New Democratic Party ticket and finished third in the second ward. Ward was elected to city council on his second attempt in 1985, the only successful candidate to be endorsed by the labour council. He was re-elected without opposition in 1988. Ronald E. F. Eddy (born ) is a politician in Ontario, Canada. He was a Liberal member of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario from 1992 to 1995. He represented the riding of Brant—Haldimand, and the mayor of the County of Brant from 1999 to 2018. Background Eddy was born in Toronto, Ontario and raised on a farm near Brantford. Robert V. Callahan (April 11, 1937–December 26, 2020) is a former politician from Ontario, Canada. He served as a Liberal member of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario from 1985 to 1995 representing the ridings of Brampton and Brampton South. John Carman McClelland (September 22, 1951 – June 1, 2022) was a Canadian politician in Ontario. He was an Liberal member of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario from 1987 to 1995 who represented the riding of Brampton North. He was subsequently an unsuccessful Progressive Conservative candidate in the 2007 provincial election.
