2023 International Bernese Ladies Cup
The 2023 International Bernese Ladies Cup was held from January 26 to 29 at Curling Bern in Bern, Switzerland ). Swiss law does not designate a ''capital'' as such, but the federal parliament and government are installed in Bern, while other federal institutions, such as the federal courts, are in other cities (Bellinzona, Lausanne, Luzern, Neuchâtel ... as part of the World Curling Tour. Lindsay Dubue () (born July 23, 1999) is a Canadian curler from Ottawa, Ontario. She currently plays second on Team Clancy Grandy. Career Dubue played in three Canadian Junior Curling Championships during her junior career in 2017, 2018 and 2020. In 2017, playing second for Hailey Armstrong, she won the silver medal after losing the final Alberta's Kristen Streifel. In both 2018 and 2020, she missed the playoffs playing for Emma Wallingford and Kira Brunton respectively. Kayla MacMillan (born May 10, 1998, in Belleville, Ontario) is a Canadian curler from New Westminster, British Columbia. She currently plays third on Team Clancy Grandy. Career While playing juniors in Ontario, MacMillan skipped her team of Sarah Daviau, Lindsay Dubue and Marcia Richardson to a gold medal at the 2015 Optimist Under 18 Women's Championship. After a 5–0 record through the round robin, the team beat Japan 6–2 in the semifinal and defeated Alberta 4–1 in the championship game. The following season, the team competed in the east qualifier for the 2016 Ontario Scotties Tournament of Hearts but were unable to qualify for the provincial championship. Clancy Grandy (born December 27, 1990 in Burlington, Ontario) is a Canadian curler originally from Ontario. She currently skips her own team out of Vancouver, British Columbia. Career Juniors Grandy's junior career was highlighted by winning the 2011 Pepsi Ontario Junior Curling Championships with teammates Sarah Wilkes, Laura Crocker and Lynn Kreviazuk, defeating Jasmin Thurston in the final. The team represented Ontario at the 2011 Canadian Junior Curling Championships, where the finished with a 5-7 record. Later that season, Grandy skipped the Guelph Gryphons University curling team at the 2011 CIS/CCA Curling Championships, finishing with a 2-5 record.
